Great Price for a Great Series... If I didn't have it, this would def be on my list to obtain.... btw.. if you pick this up.. make sure to put Serenity on your list.. that is the movie that ties up and ends this pre-maturaly ended, in my opinion, series...

Crap. Loved the film, imagine I'll love the series, but my DVD set is still unopened. Can I justify a double dip for just an A/V upgrade? No.

See if you can return the dvd set. If i recall the Blu has a new commentary on some episode or another (my reason for pulling the trigger back in June).

Me too.

Coincidentally, Half.com has just informed me that I just sold my standard def version for $17, so there's that (of course, I paid $22 for that from Buy.com in 2005...)

Wanted to double check i didn't give erroneous info.

"...In addition to the original bonus features, there are a couple new ones: a 25-minute conversation among Whedon, Nathan Fillion, Ron Glass, and Alan Tudyk in which they discuss the series and a number of specific episodes (Fillion recalls thinking he was getting fired after the first episode), and a new commentary track by the four fellows on "Our Mrs. Reynolds."

If you still have the standard def DVD set shrinkwrapped, consider selling it for about $20 and rationalize that you only paid $5 for the bluray.
