But you have to spend more than $6.99? Kind of misleading..

Re: Karate Kid Blu Ray - $6.99 @ Amazon

nope. Just did it myself as outlined in the post and was just charged $6.99 for the Karate Kid (2010)blu ray with 'Casino Royale' DVD.

This only lasts while 'Casino Royale' is par of the lightening Deal

OMG I love amazon. I called in to add casino royal to the karate kid but it was already shipping. Explained to deal to her and since she couldn't add it she gave me a 5 dollar credit. Amazon rocks.

What is the $5 credit for on this?

Re: Karate Kid Blu Ray - $6.99 @ Amazon

I don't see Karate Kid for $10. It shows $11.49 for me. Did they raise the price?

EDIT: Crap, this is the NEW Karate Kid. Your link didn't work. I thought it was the ORIGINAL Karate Kid. Unfortunately I was under a time deadline. I got Casino Royale on the waitlist. I was #20 so it came up FAST. I placed the order quickly. I canceled Karate Kid already, but I think I'm SOL for this deal... I didn't see anything listed about the $5 off anywhere...

Re: Karate Kid Blu Ray - $6.99 @ Amazon

Not even remotely interested in that Karate Kid blu when it was $10. But make it $7 and throw in a title I already own multiple versions of and I buy it immediately.

I have a disease.....

Deal's dead now, at least at this price, unless a wait list comes through for you.

I don't get why these two movies are being paired together for this promotion. They really have nothing in common.

Re: Karate Kid Blu Ray - $6.99 @ Amazon

I did this right after karate kid with Grownups blu and the 5 dollar credit she gave me with Casino Royale and got both for 4.48. Now there is a manufacture coupon code that takes 3 more off grownups. I'm trying to get them to apply that for a total of 1.48 for Grown-ups on blu and Casino Royal on dvd.

It's a Sony promo. They've had quite a few Amazon promotions in the past that tie together unrelated films.

.

This made me laugh a lot, thanks!

My story: I went to Walmart early this morning (1am) and looked for Karate Kid. Only found the combo, and they wouldn't drop the price. I went to a different one this afternoon and they had plenty. I bought it for $10. While walking around Target, I checked my phone, found the deal, and purchased the combo for $7 at Amazon. I drove back across the street to Walmart and returned the one I bought there.

I agree. I felt okay about buying it for $10. But for $7 and another movie I have? Come on!

Re: Karate Kid Blu Ray - $6.99 @ Amazon

I'm glad I got in on Grown Ups BD for $6.48 and Karate Kid BD for $6.99. I'll have 2 extra Casino Royale DVDs I don't want, and I'll have to return The Karate Kid BD that is "shipping soon" from Amazon when I thought $10 was going to be the best price.

If anyone knows (to save me some research time):
- Are the single BD and the BD + DVD combo versions of Grown Ups identical in content except that the combo version has a DVD of the same stuff? In other words, it's not like Disney's Prince of Persia where the BDs inside have different extras.
- Same question for the single BD vs. BD + DVD combo versions of The Karate Kid (2010)?

Thanks.

I saw the post earlier but didn't realize there were 2 different releases for Grown Ups. I saw it was $24.99 and figured I missed out on the deal. Now I realize I actually hadn't. Obviously now it's too late... And I also F'd up with the Karate Kid deal not realizing it was for the remake. I missed out on both deals because I looked at the wrong ones...

Maybe you have better luck when you call. I e-mailed about a similar deal with the Predator/Predators blu-ray and got denied. I've never gotten a promotion applied after the order was placed - it's always "Sorry, the promotion can only be applied at the time of checkout."

Twice I emailed them to add the promo codes to an already existing order (the two codes above on 2 different orders actually) Both times they applied it for me.

Well, then someone named "Raja K." just doesn't like me.

I did leave them a feedback response stating it was a bum deal because other people have had promos applied post-order, but I don't expect anything to come of it.

Wait, they're using their real names now? I always call and get someone who is obviously outsourced and they tell me their name is like Tom. I'm just like "Come on, no it isn't"

When I worked in a call center, all the people in Manila that was outsourced had to pick their own "American" name so the people in this country wouldn't be scared that they are outsourced. Damn people in this country are stupid if we have to resort to that lol

I did supervisor escalations. One guy complained to me because he refused to talk to "Tom" because there is no way he could know computer tech support as they don't even have electricity where "Tom" was from /facepalm

Amazon just shipped me my Casino Royale. Between the lightning deal price of $1.99 and part of the combo discount, my total charge, which they billed to my Discover, was eleven cents.

Probably a record low credit card charge for me. Isn't there a minimum transaction fee that Amazon pays each time they process a charge? Between that and shipping they definitely lost money on that title.

I bet if some company for people in France had their calls outsourced here you would get the same reaction. What some companies fail to understand is that there is much more to taking care of a customer than just speaking their native language. However, the ignorance of that particular caller is inexcusable.

Sounds like a plot from the TV show, "Outsourced." Before it aired, I didn't think I would like that show, but it's pretty damn funny...
