I got a 35% off too and used it on a couple of BD's in my wishlist...the thing about these personalized coupons is that the buying frenzy isn't intense and so greater chances of landing something in stock..of course whether goHastings delivers the correct version of what's ordered is up to the Heavens :-)

I received the $10 off $25 coupon. The nice thing about it from what I can see, is that it is good on anything. This includes new items. I'm eyeing the Big Hero combo pack which is on sale as a preorder for $19.99. Just can't figure out what to order with it.

Finally found a cheap couple of BDs to combine with Big Hero 6 and use the $10 coupon. Initially, I had found a $5 used book I wanted. But I didn't realize the outrageous shipping amounts on books--$3.00 per order and $0.99 per item. Guess it's not bad if you order a bunch of books at once, but ridiculous for a single one.

That book shipping got me too! I found one I wanted but the shipping cost killed the "deal." I'd rather take my chances at the local store. I'd have sworn they shipped *any* quantity of books for a flat $.99 - guess that changed when they upped the media shipping a while back and I just never noticed.

Real easy to comment in the negative on a change of policy that 'hurts' more than it did before. I bet everyone of you has shipped out media through USPS (which is supposedly the most affordable right now). It costs between $3 and $4 to ship out a regular BD or DVD Disk. And even with media rate on books, the weight of the package results in fairly steeper costs compared to before. Add to that a tracking number, and you are up by almost another buck. I am not taking any sides here but its unfair to malign a shipping policy change just based on rates that existed before. Yes, tacking on additional content in the same package will afford a slight discount and hence that additional $0.99 charge on additional books. I don't own a business and so I don't know what volume discounts you could get on these - however, shipping costs have increased and part of them have to be passed on to the consumer. Even Amazon, despite being a behemoth, am sure bleeds money on unlimited 2 day shipping despite the $99 Prime upfront cost. A smaller retailer cannot afford to offset those losses, not with bargain priced used stuff. Just think about it yourself by putting yourself in the shoes of a business owner
