I only saw Avatar DVD for $19.99 on LA Times AD but I don't see Blu-ray prices anywhere.

Not listing the price is pretty normal for Fry's nowadays since it appears they have become gutless in being a low price leader.

So many of their ads lately have had "Low Price" or "On Sale" next to various items, and now many electronics items in their ads omit the model number (and some even omit the brand name saying "major brand LCD TV"). It shows they are afraid of putting out a lower price than anyone else and losing a little money, afraid that a manufacturer will hassle them for selling a particular item below MAP, or afraid somebody will use their ad to pricematch somewhere else.

I remember the good old days a few years ago when I was excited to see every Friday's Fry's ad (I even subscribed to the newspaper mainly for their ads). I used to go there a few times per month because they had good sales even though they are 11 miles out of my way. For the last 1-2 years I've only gone there once every few months because their sales have sucked lately (especially on movies, games, and computer parts), and I'm also sick of them advertising stuff without listing the model #. So I try to look up the SKU online to find out what it is to know if it's a good deal, and half the time it's not listed online, so rather than waste 10+ minutes trying to get someone on the phone there I've learned to just ignore those items. Too bad they've gone downhill so much. Their decline seems to have coincided (and I'm not sure if it's the cause) with that big story about an employee who did their ordering who ripped them off lots of money over several years, and I think that's when they stopped carrying ECS motherboards. Then the CPU/mobo combo deals went away, and now they're only use for me is when I need a TV every 3-5 years. For whatever reason Fry's still seems to have good TV deals, but the rest is bleh to me. Those are my opinions.

Sorry to have digressed (but digressing is what I do best).

quite puzzling. The lowest price previously for these was around $22. So these prices are either extremely bad or extremely good.

Sorry, guys. It seems that I hit up Frys.com exactly in that timeframe when they post the sale items, but hadn't updated the pricing for the sale. The prices have been updated accordingly.

Those prices are quite good, but I don't want any of those 3 packs for $15. The 2 3-packs that I want is the Alvin/Ice Age/Ace 2 BD pack and the Eragon/Night at the Museum/something else BD pack which I doubt I'll ever see for $22 again let alone $15, but I'll keep waiting since (as usual) I've already got all of those on DVD. Upgrades are much lower priority.

Nevertheless, IMHO Fry's still has pretty poor deals most of the time (and when they do have killer deals they are often San Jose only).

They'll be $22 again shortly after you will have bought them .

That may be the case but around here you also have many more people jumping on these deals and they are usually sold out pretty quickly (conversely, if they are not sold out quickly, then it's probably not such a good deal after all).
