Holy balls I like those 7.99 titles! The $12 one aren't terrible either, but I'm definitely getting 4 of those 7.95 titles... I love Ultimate Electronics! I can hardly wait to see their black friday sale ad!

UE mails out their ads???

Kenbenobi, are you getting the weekly UE ad in the Sunday Journal-Sentinel?

I have yet to see one in my copy, I'm up in Glendale. I've even checked the papers at a few stores here on the north side. It sure would be nice to have it for pricematching!

Re: Ultimate Electronics 7 hour sale (11/18 3PM-10PM)

This is the first UE ad I got in the mail (actually, it's the first thing I ever got in the mail from them). I'm guessing they mailed it out because it's a special sale

I don't get the paper, so I can't say. I just read the ads posted here on DVDtalk. I think you can see them on their website, too, but not in advance. And they also have ads on the counter in the store... I'm sure someone will post the BF ad somewhere once they have it, but likely not on this website until much closer to BF...

Re: Ultimate Electronics 7 hour sale (11/18 3PM-10PM)

This is great. My UE is opening up this week and has given out a boatload of B1G1F coupons. I can see getting four titles off the $12 list for $6 each. Sweet!

Re: Ultimate Electronics 7 hour sale (11/18 3PM-10PM)

I think you have to have the mailing to get the special prices. Or, at least I think you do. On the front it says "Bring in this card to get one night only of exclusive shopping". I don't know if that means the blu's ring up at regular price, and then you have to show this mailing to get the discount...?

I didn't notice that on my ad. And I don't see why it would say bring in this 'card' when it was a paper ad. I can't find my copy now, so I can't confirm if mine said that, I hope not.

OK, found my ad, and Blu-ray-collect is right, it does say 'bring in this card to get one night only of exclusive shopping'. Sorry for doubting you!

Someone could do a PDF print and share it.

Re: Ultimate Electronics 7 hour sale (11/18 3PM-10PM)

I did not sign up for ads. I do have a UE credit card, but only used it once about 3 years ago. The ad also says "As our best customer, you're invited to our Doorbuster preview night". Not sure how one qualifies as a "best customer", but I imagine if UE has your mailing information, you got one of these fliers.

I'm not sure if you have to have the ad to get the prices. I'm thinkin' "no", so I'm not going to hold my breath for any of the blu's I want to get since the sale is now general public knowledge. If you do have to have the ad, then I will be amused by the people without the ad moaning and groaning at the checkout stands.

The customer service has been top notch since they opened here so I would be very surprised if they wouldn't honor the sale price for everyone.

I signed up on their mailing list, but did not receive anything.
I've made a dozen purchases there since they opened, but only 2 since getting on the mailing list, so perhaps they send the card to people who make a lot of purchases?

Re: Ultimate Electronics 7 hour sale (11/18 3PM-10PM)

This was posted on my local UE's Facebook page:

"Come check out our Black Friday Preview Event, Thursday, November 18th from 3PM to 10PM. If you don't get a flyer in the mail, simply come by the store and pick one up. We look forward to seeing you and showing you some fantastic pre-Holiday specials. Check the address to the left of the screen but don't worry. If you can't find the store, just follow the spotlights."

So apparently, if you didn't get the flyer in the mail you can just get one in store. I would think you wouldn't have to have the flyer to get those prices, then. I haven't been into the store to see if they have any flyers available but I may go later today.

Re: Ultimate Electronics 7 hour sale (11/18 3PM-10PM)

I stopped by UE on the way home and they had flyers they were handing out for the 7-hour sale on 11/18. Just had to ask for one, as they had them behind the checkout counter.

I guess getting a flier in the mail doesn't make us special customers after all. Well, good luck to us all, and hope we get what we want on Thursday. I have a feeling this will be like a trip to Border's with a 40% coupon in hand, and will walk away with nothing.

Re: Ultimate Electronics 7 hour sale (11/18 3PM-10PM)

Just got back from the 'preview' event, about 100 people in line before 3pm. Picked up 6 of the blu-ray movies and a USB flash drive. Didn't need the ad everything rang up at the sale price, even though I went by yesterday to pick one up.

Re: Ultimate Electronics 7 hour sale (11/18 3PM-10PM)

Yeah, I was pretty surprised. There was a line at the one I went to, as well. But, I didn't have to stand in line for blu-rays, and was waved on into the store. The line was for washers, dryers, TV's, laptops, the big ticket stuff. So, I went in and was able to get everything I wanted. Grabbed the last 2-16Gb USB drivers, too. I spent more time standing in the checkout line than I did shopping for stuff.

The only negative were the people who were impatient and pissy about missing out on a TV and laptop because they only had so many to go around.

Re: Ultimate Electronics 7 hour sale (11/18 3PM-10PM)

I would've bought the same 2 BDs and a few more at those prices, but there's absolutely nothing I can do to get these deals in my area because my UEs still don't carry movies (and probably never will) and they don't have printed ads or flyers with movies to use for PM'ing elsewhere either. As Marvin the Martian would say "UE is making me VERY angry". Of all the retailers they are having better BD sales than anyone else (except on BF) and all I can do is read about those deals. Same with the Nebraska Furniture Mart or BJ's Wholesale deals. :-(
