I got BTTF trilogy. Clicked add to cart as soon as it appeared.

The Hannibal trilogy would be more tempting to me had I not just picked up The Silence of the Lambs on Thursday. Oh well got my order in for Shutter Island and should be done for basically the rest of the year (aside from Inception which I've already got ordered from Amazon UK and The Other Guys).

Saving Private Ryan and The Hurt Locker were in my mail box when I got home today

the rest of the shipped orders will probably come tomorrow

Sorry, didn't have a chance to post this sooner. I had Psycho in my cart and got BTTF in the Lightning Deal. As expected, the checkout didn't reflect the $8 promo discount for buying both (see LINK). I sent an email (with the Amazon link) to Customer Service and they did credit $8 back to my card! BTTF for $24.99 and Psycho for $9.99 :)

I figured I'd stick this here.

I just picked up the Lethal Weapon Collection (unavailable in US) for $37.94 shipped on Amazon UK.

Well Amazon shot me down on my price adjustment. Sent an e mail to two different departments and pretty much got the same response. I really wish they would have some sort of price adjustment policy. Oh well, I'm just glad it's only $3.

Update, out of nowhere I recieved an e mail with a $5.00 promotional certificate. Don't know where the extra $2 came from but I'll take it. Now I'm back to loving Amazon's customer serivce.

PS - Lizard, thanks again for the time you put in updating all of these prices

PSS - thanks again for the QOS movie ticket ;)

Are those the extended movies? (and do the extra parts make the movies better or not?)

Just picked up Batman: UTRH & Dr. Strangelove digibook for only $16. These deals are stellar.

Guess I missed out on the LOTR movies. Slept on the $7.99 price then noticed yesterday they were up to $12.99 and now up again to $14.99.

Guess I didn't really want them that bad since I didn't bite at $7.99.

Dammit, I had no idea Dr Strangelove was a digibook...there goes another $15 (I also impulsively bought In the Shadow of the Moon)

I don't think it's the "extended versions". I'm pretty sure they are included as deleted scenes. I know they did a whole slew of new extras though.

Decided to give the BTTF deal a try even though I was at work today. I also thought it would be a good idea to hedge my bet and have my wife try to order it from her office. Turned out to be a good idea. I waited until the correct time, clicked on the lightning deal button and added it to my cart. Then I noticed that I also still had it in my cart from earlier, but at full price. I then accedentally deleted the WRONG one, leaving only the full priced copy. I though, no big deal, I'll just go back and add it again, right? Nope, it would only tell me that it was already in my cart and wouldn't budge. Fortunately, my wife was much more on the ball and managed to get her order to go through. :)

I'm glad I "bit" when they were $7.99 each. Like the review said, the PQ on the first was good, not great. The second, better. And the third, the best. Very pleased with the purchase.

Yeah, the new policy on the lightning deals is that you can only claim it once. If you delete it or let your time expire, there's no getting it back, even if there's time remaining on the deal.

Re: Amazon Black Friday Sales Start Monday, November 22nd

Discovered something interesting about the shipping with today's deliveries. According to tracking, it looked like I was getting 10 items in 6 separate shipments based on the partial order fulfillments they were doing. (e.g. Ordered Showgirls, Fight Club, and Dollhouse last Monday and Dollhouse came Friday; Fight Club was coming today.)

I get over to my g/f's where I had them shipped and Saving Private Ryan and the God of War Collection (PS3 game) were sitting loose - she'd already opened and recycled the boxes - and there was a shrink-wrapped package with 8 items from what I expected to be 4 shipments ranging from Monday's Fight Club to stuff ordered throughout Friday. Only three packages came with the 10 items. No complaining; just observing how Amazon economized. Makes more sense to me. I once ordered about $40 in used DVDs from Family Video and they sent so many separate packages while charging only $1.99 for the whole order; I think they spent about $30 mailing them out from all the different places, one at a time.

Alright, I'm quite upset that they are using usps now, they told me in a mail that they refuse to leave the mail in my box because of postal regulations. Now I am stuck and I can't get out there. They did not leave a notice on my door like it says

I got the main title i wanted today, The Hannibal Lecter collection ordered it as soon as the clock rolled to 12:40
I had my alarm set for 4:30 this morning to try for Home alone but alas i didnt wake up, not disapointed though about that one as Its not something I would watch alot.
If i could have woke in time then it would have been great, but if i was meant to have them my alarm would have awaken me.

Iam just glad that Hannibal ended up being 17.99 and not the jacked up 19.99 price amazon showed last night.

Days later, I am still getting pop ups that the Predators lightning deal is sold out.

It's like they are teasing me for missing that deal.
