My concern with them is that yeah it will probably get the deer to move, but who's not to say the deer won't head out in front of your car trying to avoid the sound. Always found them to be a gimmick myself.

Re: Amazon Black Friday Sales Start Monday, November 22nd

Well, I had a lot of fun with Black Friday at amazon last year, and got some nice deals. Hoping for at least a few nice surprises once again.

Re: Amazon Black Friday Sales Start Monday, November 22nd

I'm thinking of signing up for an Amazon Prime trial to use with some of the BF deals. Does anyone know if there is a way/code to get longer than a one month free trial? I remember there used to be a three month free trial in the past.

ACCIDENTAL SNEAK PEAK...

I also posted this info at the top of the thread...

From the looks of the link and screen shot I posted below, this is obviously a test page that Amazon accidentally posted. I expect it to be taken down soon. Let's just consider this an advanced sneak peak of some of Amazon's Black Friday/Cyber Monday Lightning Deals. Thoughts? Speculation??

I hope the dates are a mistake since it is a week after Thanksgiving...

Re: Amazon Black Friday Sales Start Monday, November 22nd

Looks like the actual titles and dates are posted now at the same link:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.htm...71&tag=dvdtalk

Mostly blah for me, except for maybe some of the Blu's on Cyber Monday.

Looks like they haven't listed anything for Black Friday or Saturday yet. Probably to stay flexible, I'd assume.

Re: Amazon Black Friday Sales Start Monday, November 22nd

Yeah, not much at all going on there Blu-wise. Most of the titles listed already are or have been below $10.00, so I'm not sure the deals are going to be that great when they do hit. Oh well, here's hoping they match other retailers' prices come Black Friday.

Re: Amazon Black Friday Sales Start Monday, November 22nd

would like to see the BttF blu ray trilogy drop to at least $30.

And since there are no deals posted for Friday & Saturday, maybe we'll see some price matched to WalMart

Any chance of a video games preview like that?

I'll have to gun for the BTTF trilogy. I'm even pondering Lost if it's in the $100-$125 range.

The only thing that really catches my eye is Lost: The Complete Series on blu-ray. I wonder what the price will be? $120 or less and I'm in.

Pretty disappointing lineup of movies for me. I'll probably grab Gran Torino, Superbad and Ice Age. No big loss if I forget though.

Yeah. There are several movies I would've bought on Blu-ray, but they're only dishing out the DVD releases of those. Oh well.

Hoping Lost: Complete Collection (Blu-ray) is around the $100 mark or less. I'd definitely buy it for that price.

Well, that's a lot of money Amazon is saving me. I was hoping to really stock up as I've done the past two years and they've really failed with too few Blus and too many DVDs and/or lackluster titles. Drat.

Yup, that's the title I have my eye on. That and Mad Men Season 3 if they can actually hit the $9.99 price point.

Re: Amazon Black Friday Sales Start Monday, November 22nd

I'm thinking of signing up for an Amazon Prime trial for the BF sales, but I need to be sure I understand the terms. You can immediately choose to not enroll in the program right after you sign up and still continue to use the free trial for the remainder of the 30 days, correct? Has anyone mistakenly been charged $79 after the first month even after they opted not to enroll? I seem to recall that happening to some people, but hopefully it's not common.

If you happen to be at Target early Friday, Seasons 1 - 5 will be on sale there also ($9.99 plus tax).

By the way, the OK has been given by the moderators to talk about Black Friday sales at any store but they don't want people listing other websites and saying "Go there to see all of the sales".

Re: Amazon Black Friday Sales Start Monday, November 22nd

i'm wishing that the lost complete series is <$100.

otherwise, i'm hoping amazon will have good prices on these titles:
batman under the red hood
green zone
district 9
robin hood
book of eli
angels and demons
hurt locker

some of those are listed on the amazon link. so looks like it'll be another thanksgiving with $ going out quickly.
