For those with free Amazon Prime now (due to Amazon mom) who probably won't have Prime when it ships in March, what should we do to make sure we don't get charged shipping then? That is, does Amazon charge you shipping based on what your Prime status is when you order or when it ships? I seem to recall hearing the latter, so I think that means one has to treat it like a $25 free super saver shipping order now. Hopefully $27.99 before $10 coupon will count as over $25.

if you ordered it with free shipping, then you'll get free shipping even if your prime has ran out.

Thanks. I decided to preorder Bambi just to have my options open for March.

I also noticed that "Save $10 on Select Disney Combo Packs" promo next to it and I thought... oh cool, I can preorder A Christmas Carol 3D BD for $27.99 - $10. Wrong! You can click on those titles and go all the way through checkout and wonder why there's no $10 coupon. It's not until you go back to the title and look for the tiny $10 off promo link that you see you have to order a 2nd BD title to get $10 off between the 2. Then I realized this promo was the same one they had months ago where it initially gave $10 off per title until they fixed it. Unfortunately the way it's presented on this page is unclear and made me think it was a different and better $10 off promo. So just Bambi for me.

Tempting but my Bambi DVD doesn't get a ton of replay as is, so I think I'm out unless TRU or someone comes through with a sub-$10 price.

If I pre-order today, will Amazon charge me now? Or, will they charge me on or around march 1st when the blu-ray is released? I've never pre-ordered something from them so many months in advance, and am curious how good they are about honoring their price adjustment policy should the pre-order price drop between now and then.

They'll charge when it ships.

If the price drops before it ships, you'll be charged $10 less than that. So, if it drops to $22.99, you'll be charged $12.99...the discount is applied to the final price.

If the prices drops after it ships but on/before March 1st, your card will be credited with the difference.
