Target will only take so many coupons for a single item. They have a weakness in their system that if you throw in some cheap filler item, the register will take the extra coupon.

Re: Fantasia $10 DMR Coupon

I was perusing the Sunday sales circular for Meijer, a chain in Michigan and surrounding states, and was surprised to see (in small print) they will be offering Fantasia/Fantasia 2000 4 disk set for $26.99. That is $5 cheaper than Target. The 2 disk DVD will be $19.99.

Toys R Us is also advertising the combo pack for 26.99. Nice to see them getting back to competitive pricing after the ridiculous price they had for TS. Now if only they had some pre-order deal to get it down further.

EDIT: Target's ad has it listed at 27.99, so it's only a buck cheaper.

Re: Fantasia $10 DMR Coupon

Toys R Us has also dropped the price of Sorcerer's Apprentice 3-disc to $26.99. If TRU does have the save $10 when you buy both Fantasia and Sorcerer's Apprentice, this would be the cheapest I've seen. You also have the two $3.00 coupons that came in the coupon book.

(-$10 DMR Upgrade Fantasia coupon -$10 DMR Fantasia coupon - $10 Sorcerer's App. 3-disc coupon - $10 when you buy both - $3 TRU coupon when you buy Fant. and one other combo - $3 TRU coupon when you buy Sorcerer's App. and one other combo = $7.98 for both) ($2.02 credit if they will let you get the 2-disc SA) Prices are if they offer buy both and save $10. Hopefully there will be a $10 sticker coupon on one of them.

Time to use the $10 gift card I got for the TinkerBell preorder.

Does it have to be a cheap filler item or could it be another DVD?

Re: Fantasia $10 DMR Coupon

So will TRU take both the $10 (upgrade and regular) coupons giving us $20 off? I know the BB and Target here won't.

Re: Fantasia $10 DMR Coupon

Good luck on explaining that 1 coupon is an upgrade and 1 coupon is for everyone... It worked for TS1 & TS2 because each coupon was a different price ($5 and $10)... I bet that will be a HUGE ymmv...

The two coupons do have different numbers and expiration dates... So it may work.

Re: Fantasia $10 DMR Coupon

I just printed out one of the new Fantasia coupons and compared it with the upgrade coupon...
They look exactly the same with the only difference being the expiration date (and top right code and bottom code), but the bar code in the bottom left corner is identical (5-86936-00061-6) on both of them.
There's nothing to indicate that one is an upgrade coupon and one is just a normal $10 off one. So trying to use both would likely constitutes doubling, which the thing clearly says not to do.

For me, I don't mind just using a $10 Fantasia and $10 SA coupon, but I still want to get the $10 off Target deal... and even that seems to be hard to do with the ad only showing the SA 2-disc and the coupon being the 3-disc one.

Re: Fantasia $10 DMR Coupon

If they're the same code, it's not gonna work. I'd rather keep my dignity and get just one.

Re: Fantasia $10 DMR Coupon

Knowing how much of a hassle TRU has been for me using legit coupons for TS3 and BatB, I'd be grateful if I was allowed to use:

1 - $10 DMR Fantasia coupon
1 - $10 DMR Sorcerer's Apprentice coupon
1 - TRU $3 coupon for buying Fantasia + other Disney title
1 - $10 off promotion when buying both together
= $20.98

A bonus would be also getting to use the $3 off SA TRU coupon + other Disney title =$17.98 for both.

Somehow, I doubt they'll let me use both $3 coupons from the coupon book on the same transaction.

Toy's R Us doesn't have a $10 off promotion for buying them both.

As it stands right now, Toy's R Us is still the cheapest place to get them individually if you were to just use the $10 3-disc coupons for Fantasia and SA as they come out to $16.97 each.

Toy's R Us = $16.97 + $16.97 = 33.94

If Target's $10 promotion stacks, then you'd save about $5 more, but it's hard to tell right now. If it doesn't, then it's actually more expensive to buy the movies from Target than it would be off Amazon when you factor in tax. >_>

Target = $19.99 + $17.99 = $37.98
(SA3disc $29.99 - $10 coupon) & (Fantasia $27.99 - $10 coupon)

Amazon = $28.99 + $19.99 (SA 2disc) - $10 promotion = $38.98

Re: Fantasia $10 DMR Coupon

actually Ultimate Electronics is the cheapest place

$23.95 each for the 3 disc SA and Fantasia set and $19.95 for the 2 disc SA set (which the coupon will work on as well)

That's the price of the DVD, not Blu.

Re: Fantasia $10 DMR Coupon

Here's what I am hoping to do. At Target pm the WalMart price of $19.96 for the SA (2disc Blu/DVD combo) and pm the TRU price of $26.99 for Fantasia and then have the 2 $10 coupons and then the buy both get $10 off for a total of $16.95 + tax.

And if the barcodes are the same then yeah we cannot use the 2 "different" Fanatsia coupons. And not to complain about not being able to use both, but why even have an "upgrade" coupon if you are going to just release another general use one as well for the same amount. That eliminates any "bonus" Disney seems to try and convey of awarding previous owners of the dvd.

Should you not be comparing the same product when seeing which deal is better?

The Target deal should stack with the coupons and the coupon for SA to my knpowledge will work on the 2 disc or 3 disc(it did for TS3). This would take $15 off your Target total before tax, much better than Amazon.

Man, do a pricematch at Target for a great deal for sure. Wish I had an Ultimate Electronics by me, can think of at least 10 more movies I would have gotten this week from the ads I saw posted here

Re: Fantasia $10 DMR Coupon

For Eastern US (PA, OH)....Giant Eagle grocery store.....

Fantasia BLU = $26.99 less $10 coupon $16.99 plus sales tax (for me $18.18 final price) less $5 off next purchase coupon printed at checkout (or my final cost of $13.18).

Sorcerer's BLU = $25.00 less $10 coupon $15.00 plus sales tax (for me $16.05 final price) less $5 off next purchase coupon printed at checkout (or my final cost of $11.05).

Unlike Prince of Persia, the 2-disc SA is no different from the 3-disc. You just don't get the download. I could do without the download if it means not paying tax or shipping.

The coupon says "with purchase of the Sorcerer's Apprentice on 3-Disc Comic Pack (Combo Pack includes a Blu-ray, DVD and Digital Copy)."

I'd think that if enough people keep using the coupons for the incorrect item (which the coupon says is fraud and they won't reimburse the company for), then there's a chance that Target could stop accepting the coupons altogether. Target did stop allowing the use of one of their own toy coupons last year.
