I'll go with the standard Blu-ray for Toy Story 3. Don't need the DVD and digital copy. Might also see if they carry Band on the Run, I'd like the big set but don't want to pay the asking price.

Anyone seen TRU ad yet? Wondering what TS3 will be there. I already preordered there when I bought 2 B&B for $8.88 & $5.70 (had $3 coupon) so I'm hoping around $10 each out of pocket for my 2 TS3 with coupon.

Re: Target Media Prices (October 31 - November 6, 2010)

So I read that the Toy Story 3 BD combo pack coupon is only going to be $8 this time instead of $10. :-( Sad, but it's still enough to get me to buy the combo pack at $24.99 - $8. Had it only been $5 or the price higher, then I might have waited.

Same here, hoping for a $10 coupon, $9.99 would be a pretty sweet deal.

As previously stated, the coupon is only $8 and it's only good for the combo pack. $16.99 sounds fine to me... unless TRU's $5 pre-order credit is going to give me a better price.

I thought the Disney $8 coupon was only good on the TS3 4-disc Combo, and not on the 2-disc BD. Are you going to try using the coupon anyway?

Targets official pm policy is that you have to have a physical ad, in order to get a price match. They dont match off of print outs or even if you show them the online price via your smart phones browser.

Now you might be lucky enough to find a cashier dumb enough (or should i say nice enough) to go ahead and price match it for you with just a print up but that would be very very very YMMV

Well the official policy makes you take it to guest service to get any kind of price match and usually those people are a little more competent than most of the cashiers.

While my Target didn't have the Toy Story 3 combo this morning ("we never got it"), they did take the $3 Dove shampoo coupon for The Sound of Music. With the 5% RedCard discount I got that and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang for $30.38 before tax. The coupon is also good for Tooth Fairy and Marmaduke, although Stephen Merchant is the only good thing about the former and everyone involved with the latter should be skinned.

Where did you get the coupon?

No problems using $8 coupon on Buzz toy version. Will give Buzz to my kids and keep discs in BBy ironpack.

Through the mail. I think either in the Val-Pak or RedPlum bunch. There's also the same coupon packaged with CCBB, except it has a promotion for "Family Fun Multi-Features" instead of "Dove Hair Care Celebrates The Sound of Music."

There's also the $3 coupon for these movies inside the BD/DVD's of Sound of Music and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Which would have really sucked that I couldn't use it, but being able to use the $2 and $5 coupons, I didn't really care.

In case anyone is wondering the discs in the Buzz Lightyear is held one atop another. The case that holds the discs can be taken off. So if you plan on buying it, you can take off the DVD case and give Buzz to the kids or whatever.

No. The whole "digi" part of digibook, digipack, etc. is referring to the plastic holder for the disc. If that isn't there, it's not a digi.

Has anyone actually recieved the $5 discount on both? The $5.00 discount would not apply at 2 of the Targets in my area.

It didn't come up automatically like it should have at my local store either, but I pointed out the sign in the store that indicated the discount and the guy subtracted it manually.

Re: Target Media Prices (October 31 - November 6, 2010)

My store didn't apply automatically but they gave no problem adjusting (made SOM $14.99) since the ad and signage clearly indicated discount.

Personally, I think they were supposed to have CCB be $24.99 and then go down to $19.99 because that is what was on the receipt, but nevertheless..........

Re: Target Media Prices (October 31 - November 6, 2010)

I bought "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" and "The Sound Of Music" today for $21.98 plus tax total.

$39.98 Total
- $2 SOM Coupons.com Coupon
- $5 CCBB Coupons.com Coupon
- $5 Target Deal For Buying Both
-- $27.98 Total

Then I opened both, took the $3 coupon inside each one, and told customer service that I wanted to get the money back for these coupons for these movies, that came inside of these movies, and they abided.

$27.98 - $6 = $21.98 total. I probably paid taxes on more than $21.98 because of the way taxing coupons works, but still. Great deal.

You were very lucky because Target's policy (which you probably know) is 1 Target coupon + 1 manufacturer coupon per item and you used 2 manufacturer's coupons per item. I suppose if I open the BDs, next time I go to Target I could try asking if they'd do it, but chances are I'd be denied and they'd be in the right to do so. So I'm figuring I won't get the extra $6 off like you did and still debating whether to keep or return them for $27.98 + tax for both. Actually, as you pointed out, since you lose tax on the coupons, for me it works out to $14.29 each before tax. That's on the borderline of my max price limit and exceeds my DVD to BD upgrade limit of $10. So I might still return them. I love SoM but CCBB really drags at parts. I have to be in the right mood to stand that "Posh" song.

Like others posted, they had to adjust the price manually for the $5 offer, and it took them 5 minutes and conferring with 2 other employees before they did it. However, it's better to have them in my hands with 90 days to decide than to skip the offer. Apparently Amazon has a $29.48 combo offer for both (which is about $1.70 less than I paid), but it appears they paired the CCBB in the larger DVD case... no thanks.
