Who knows. It's a decent-sized one, though.

Re: DD Autumn 20% Off Sale -- List Your Blu-ray Finds!

Ugh. Every item on my wish-list is either not part of the sale (Treasure of the Sierra Madre, Forbidden Planet, Maltese Falcon, Machine Gun McCain), or they're ineligible pre-orders ( Psycho, Apocalypse Now, Fantasia, the Hayworth box, Bridge on the River Kwai, Vampire Circus, Maniac), or they're potentially cheaper at Planet (A Star is Born), so I'll pass. Hopefully we'll get a real sale next month.

Evil Dead II would be $7.99, but the transfer is supposed to be weak, and it wouldn't arrive before Halloween was over anyway.

If you order from them right now, you may get it by X-mas...if you are lucky.

I have 7 open orders dating back to early August, there are somethings I'd like to grab, but it is getting ridiculous over there.

THAT sale happens in the middle of November, so if this is it, it's a month early Not to mention skimpy as Paris Hilton's underwear drawer.

Hmm, I just went through their listing of sale stuff without actually searching for outside items. Didn't realize there were that many ineligible titles.

I just spoke to a CSR and she told me this sale will go through 10/22 (but don't hold me to that), and she didn't have any information on a possible sale next month.

Now is the time to order your July 4th movies as they MIGHT ship by then. YANKEE DOODLE DANDY is always a good one for that holiday.

Re: DD Autumn 20% Off Sale -- List Your Blu-ray Finds!

Do the Right Thing $7.66
Winged Migration $6.31
March of the Wooden Soldiers $6.34
Yes - Live at Montreux $11.78
ELP - Live at Montreux $10.01

I may go back for Spartacus (it was around $11). There's a note the selection is subject to change, so I'd encourage people to post their orders.

Peter

P.S. It was frustrating seeing so many titles that I'd ordered during the BOGO nearly two months ago that have not yet been shipped as part of this sale. Seems to me those titles should be removed from DDD's online catalog until all outstanding orders have been fulfilled.

It's not. It's still $9.99 even with the 20% icon above. I tried applying the coupon and nada. I bought it anyways. I'm gonna fire off an email and see if they give me a discount.

Layer Cake (Blu-ray) - $8.95
Field of Dreams (Blu-ray) - $10.78

Not too bad. Itís probably for the best that it isnít a bigger sale. My wallet can use the break.

Re: DD Autumn 20% Off Sale -- List Your Blu-ray Finds!

Ordered The Alphabet Killer for $6 and some change and Go for $8 and change. I might go back and place an order for Full Metal Panic: Complete, but then again... I'm pretty sure the price will drop on that to around $25 on Amazon soon enough. That's probably my price point on that but I haven't decided.

My only order was Dead Snow for $11.18. It's been $9.99 at Best Buy, but after gas and tax this works out to be a cheaper option. Amazingly, it was actually in stock.

Re: DD Autumn 20% Off Sale -- List Your Blu-ray Finds!

can't make head nor tail of this sale because even the titles that should work don't when I try to apply the coupon.

The 'Lost - Complete Collection' should be about $156 but it's not working even though the leaf logo indicating the sale is there

Re: DD Autumn 20% Off Sale -- List Your Blu-ray Finds!

They have already started pulling things from the sale. Halloween '78 BD no longer has the leaf, and the coupon doesn't discount it. Stays $8.58... Also, I noticed they raised some prices for the sale. Someone mentioned March of the Wooden Soldiers is $6.34 after coupon. Well, earlier this week, that was the BEFORE coupon price. They raised it to $7.92. These are just 2 reasons why I'm not even going to bother with this sale. I shouldn't even bother with DD at all until they ship all of my backordered items... Why bother wasting my time going through their website, looking for titles that will never ship?
