Ok, as I'm sure most of you know the Alien Anthology is available for pre-order at Amazon.co.uk for @ half the price of Amazon.com. I need to confirm that it's region free. Anyone know for sure? I'm eager to get my pre-order on!

screener discs are region-free, but I'm still not 100% certain

Yeah, I would need to be 100% certain. I'm just not going to pay the 100.00 price on amazon. I would love to pre-order at the great price on amazon.co.uk, but i'm not until/if I hear it's def. region free before release day. So. What does everyone think?? Will there be a good price on black friday? I want to know what everyone's plan is for buying this set?

I'm waiting a few months... I'll ask for it for X-Mas if there's no real price drop. As much as I hate to do that (this is probably the single biggest release to date on the format for me) I just can't justify $95 (today's price) from Amazon. I love the first 3 films and would enjoy the extras... But, damn. 100 clams is pricey for 3 movies and extras. The market is being flooded right now with titles that I would love to own. So, I'll chip away at those for now and wait...

want the blu's of this but i already own the alien quadtrilogy. Plus i would want the "egg" special edition that amazon doesn't seem to be offering.

I'm waiting. This thing screams "deal-o-the-day", or gold box on Amazon for around $70.

I also see a big price drop on this - Fox Blu-Rays (single or collections) seem to drop pretty fast..

Wrong Turn Trilogy = $23.99
Alien vs Predator (1 & 2) = $16.99
Die Hard 4-pack = $29.99
The "collections" (romantic, comedy, etc..) 3-packs are $21 at Frys
Robocop = $29.99

In fact, most of their newest releases over the past few weeks dropped to $10.49.

I bought the original Alien Anthology DVD set (9-disc) for $12.99 or so at Amazon. This ones going to come down, probably fast.

It's the WB collections that seem to rarely drop in price (Batman). I can even see this one popping up on Black Friday (although it could be a "quick" sale)

Funny, I just cleaned up a few bds that I wasn't watching again or felt were disappointing blind buys and also clearing out some Standard def DVDs that I am or have upgraded and I made $85.

I'll just use that to pay for this and not have to wait. I'm not a patient person. Can't wait. Only 2 will get regular viewing, but 3 is ok and the last one is slightly better than the last film of the Batman movies, but I'd still prefer to have the whole set.
