Iron Man 2 combo pack $14.99 at Best Buy

The SKU is for the DVD, but the description unmistakably says "Blu Ray/DVD Combo Pack," so they should honor the price.

I was successful at Best Buy in Anaheim, CA. Brought the combo pack to the register, pulled up the web page on my phone and the cashier adjusted the price for me without issue. Thanks.

Looks like a store mistake to me. When I did an order for pickup they had the DVD waiting for me but replaced it with the BR when I questioned it. They had to do a price override. However, I can see where trying to buy it in store might get rejected since you haven't actually purchased it yet and it won't ring up for that price. My BB won't match BB online anymore at the register, they require you to do it online for store pickup instead.

EDIT: It still says "Iron Man 2 Blu Ray/DVD Combo Pack" when you add it to your cart. The URL also reflects the Blu-Ray combo pack. Unfortunately, that isn't what gets ordered. Huge YMMV on this deal now...

Yes, but that's the only place you see it. The email confirmation doesn't show it, and if you click on the product link it doesn't show it. The only place it shows it is in the cart, and order confirmation screen. Still sounds like a huge YMMV to me because when the store tries to verify the price, they're just going to search for the item. They aren't going to add it to their cart to watch it magically change....

This was for the blu+dvd+digital. In other words, the $19.99 sale priced item was showing up with the DVD's sale price. Throughout all my documentation (i.e., order confitmation and pickup slip) it showed the title for the Blu-ray combo. However, at BB the clerk showed me that the internal systems had it correctly. They even had the DVD waiting for pickup. When the clerk went and got the Blu-ray it wouldn't allow the transaction due to the sku's being wrong. They had to have a supervisor override it for me to get the price, which they were willing to do for my troubles.
So I would say it depends on how many of these transactions they've already done and what type of supervisor you get based on the required override. My take was that I had a 50/50 shot. The farthest I was going to take it was to show the pickup slip with the BR marked @ $14.99. If they didn't honor it I would have just left and waited for a possible Amazon match. It was just a mistake after all.

I did this, in-store pickup, and received the Blu-ray without a problem. It should make a nice gift for someone. Thank you, doctorthodt.

I went to pick mine up, and of course it was the DVD. I had a printout of my order confirmation. The clerk, however, was well aware of the online mistake and explained it to me. So I asked him to do an order pickup, then return it right away. He said that doesn't work. If he did a pickup, I would have to wait until tomorrow to return it. But he said he'd check with a manager. The manager said to do it as a no-receipt return. The clerk was having issues with it, so the manager took over. The manager asked why I didn't want it, so I mentioned I thought I was buying the blu-ray and pointed at the printout. So he processed the no-receipt return, then said "do you still want the blu-ray?" I said yes, not quite sure if he meant at 14.99 or 19.99. Then the clerk piped in, "it's actually 19.99." The manager said, "That's OK, we'll give it to him for 14.99." So without even asking for them to do it, they did it on their own. Very cool management at this store...

Also, my experience on Iron Man 2 was different. When I showed them the pickup receipt which said the BD combo pack and they had the DVD waiting, they went off and somehow found the same BD combo pack but with the correct SKU on the sticker on the slipcover. That made it easy with no manager or override needed but I don't know if they stuck a sticker on it just for me or someone put some wrong stickers on some BD combo packs and they just happened to find one for me. AFAIK, there is only ONE BD combo pack so it makes no sense to have 2 different SKUs for it.

Eh, I'm indifferent on this one... I'd almost rather just buy it for $20 than deal with potential in store issues. But I'm sure we'll see a legitimate $15 sale at some point over the holidays...

I saw this deal at SD and ordered online for in-store pickup. The email listed it as the BD/DVD combo and didn't have any SKU # but it didn't matter because they had a 3-disc combo pack tagged for me at pickup. Ordered Sunday night and picked it up late Monday afternoon. Very nice. I see some people had to fight or got shut down, but it worked perfectly for me.
