Good prices! I'll be picking up Evil Dead, Hatchet, Dead Snow, and Toolbox Murders this week.

Surprised at how many people are getting Frozen based on the wide-range of reviews over in Movie Talk. Some even said it wasn't worth the Redbox rental.

I also picked up Evil Dead and of the 7 copies they had, all that I saw were the 2-disc set (DVD + BD)
I was thinking the same, so I picked up Zombie Strippers, Frozen, Snow Dead & Hatchet.

Bummer. Local Best Buy didn't have House of the Devil on Blu-ray, likely snagged earlier in the day or purchased by an employee (showed in-stock beforehand). They did, however, have a copy of the DVD with the slipcover, priced at $5. It'll do!

Anyway, walked out with 1408, The Mist, Planet Terror, and House of the Devil (DVD) for $38.

No disrespect to anyone else, but if Adam Tyner Highly Recommends it, I will check it out, especially for only $10.

Sorry to hear about the House of the Devil BD. It was flying off the shelves at my BB today. Went in earlier today & they had 7 copies. Went back about 3 hours later & just 1 copy left. Nice haul on the 3 BD's & good price on the DVD.

Thanks OP btw.
I don't think it's worth it. I passed on Evil Dead at WM for $17, over $18 with tax. I rarely watch bonus/special features anyway.

That savings covered most of my $10 Saw VI BD purchase, so I'm happy.

Shocking as it may seem, although I may be in the minority, I don't base my opinions on random reviews and anonymous word by whoever "some" is. If you can get past some of the obvious plot-holes its a very good horror that works in its simplicity and lack of unnecessary CGI that so many modern horrors overuse.

Are the Limited Edition Evil Dead extras exclusive to this Blu-ray release? Considering I have all DVD releases of Evil Dead, I'm hoping I already have them.

Thanks!

I did some digging ... so I'll answer my own question.

The extras on the LE DVD are all recycled from the Ultimate Edition ... the only exclusive is a new commentary, but its on the blu-ray.

I really considered buying the 2-disc Evil Dead set at Wal-Mart for 17 but after some thought I realized the extra dvd wasn't worth the extra 7 since I already have the Book of the Dead dvd.

Same here. I don't really watch the special features since i have lots of unwatched movies to watch, tons of them. Watching special features just wasting my time, id rather watch the main feature.

I already have Grindhouse on pre-order from Amazon for $13.99, but I still want these. Not only do they have the extended cuts and the non-damaged version of Planet Terror, but I'm also a completist.
Agreed! THOUGH I'm not a completist....but those have the EXTENDED cuts. Which...well...specifically for Death Proof do I enjoy it in the extended cut. I loved it in it's extended form. BUT...prefer it in it's Grindhouse cut for the sake of the Theatrical experience of it.

I got Let The Right One In for $13 tonight at Best Buy! I found the ONLY copy they had of it with theatrical subtitles! I've never seen the film and am SO EXCITED to finally have this!

Thanks for posting ... I had completely forgotten about the subtitle issue.

One Best Buy had only new copies with Theatrical subtitles and another Best Buy had only old ones.

^ Rang up at $19.99 at mine. Is it shelf-tagged at $13? Doesn't really matter, I can wait for $10 or less.

So how exactly do you people distinguish the 1-disc Evil Dead from the 2-disc version?
"neon green banner on the top"?

The words "Limited Edition-Includes Bonus Special Features DVD" at the top in the green strip is a Dead giveaway.
