The Walmart I go to sold out of the Limited and never restocked.

Also SAW VI does not come with the SAW Bonus disc. Again for $10 no big deal.

Ian provided a good breakdown of the extras on the DVD in his review.

As a fan of the Evil Dead Series, these Blu-rays are actually my first purchases. I've seen them before on VHS, late night television broadcasts, and borrowing DVDs from a friend, but never on my own disc. I always held off because when I started getting into purchasing DVDs there were already so many releases that it was overwhelming and I didn't know which to get, etc. I figured I'd just hold off and pick 'em all up eventually. So I can't tell you what specials came from which previous releases, but I'm almost certain nothing on the DVD is new.

Definitely worth noting, but I can't see that being a deal-breaker for anyone really. Those of that are picking this up probably already have the individual Saw release.

Glad I couldn't find Frozen at Wal*Mart or one of the 2 Target stores in the country that had it for $13. I will be grabbing that, Hatchet, Orphan and Pandorum.

Best Buy has been raping my wallet too much lately with these types of sales. Picked up Hatchet, The Evil Dead (the last copies of each at my Best Buy, sorry to anyone who may have gone to get it and couldn't), The Collector, Dead Snow, Saw VI, The Stepfather, Daybreakers, and Frozen.

I'll probably pick up The Mist (and trade in my dvd for a couple bucks at a local store) and Frozen. Maybe a couple others if money works out.

I have the new Evil Dead Blu-ray. Is it worth upgrading Evil Dead II to blu-ray, or just sticking with my book of the dead version?

thanks for the link. looking at the review, appears that is a nice documentary on their that wasn't on the BOTD edition. So is the 2 disc Evil Dead a different sku or do you just have to get lucky and still find one on the shelf?

It appears that they are the same UPC, but the 2-Disc Edition has a neon green banner on the top. I didn't happen to notice any with the banner when I was there, although I suppose I could have missed it. I imagine they're all sold out. Oh well, still a good deal.

Hmmm. I got Evil Dead at WM last week with the bonus DVD for $17 and they had 4 copies left. Never knew that version was selling out. I already ordered from BBy for pickup to save $7, but if it doesn't have the bonus DVD I might just return it and keep my WM copy. Is the DVD worth $7?
Thanks OP btw.

What's the UPC? I'm pretty sure they're the same.

DAMN IT !!! I just ordered Frozen yesterday from Amazon & it already shipped.

Some really killer deals here. I will finally pick up Dead Snow & House of the Devil. Toolbox Murders is a great old-school slasher for that price if anyone doesn't have it.

Re: Big horror sale @ Best Buy. Evil Dead, Frozen, The Mist.. $9.99 (more)

I got a "used" copy of The Evil Dead on Blu-ray last week from Hastings which was actually brand new. It was the limited edition with the bonus DVD. I managed to get it for only $10. I wasn't sure if I should wait longer for an even better deal, and now I'm especially glad I didn't. It's honestly hard to believe they have already stopped distribution of the limited edition with the extra features. That just doesn't seem particularly fair with so short a window especially.

Anyway, Thanks OP! I will pick up a few of these. I'm going to see if my local store has Let The Right One In with theatrical subtitles so that I can finally see the film. I might also grab Frozen.

I did - figure it's a horrible movie, but sounded interesting. It's one of the titles that rarely drops in price.

I also picked up Evil Dead and of the 7 copies they had, all that I saw were the 2-disc set (DVD + BD)

Looks like it - I think they raised a few of the prices that were low at the beginning (those two and Hostel 2). They were having weird pricing issues for a few hours, maybe these were just errors at the time.

I remember reading the first pressing included the DVD (which is typically only 10-12k). So yeah...
