I thought Ponyo was great. Really good choice.

Any thoughts on Hidalgo?

Re: Disney Movie Rewards now have Blu-rays

Don't know if this is the right thread for this, but felt it was important.

Disney's new Disney Movie Anywhere has launched. Tied to your Disney movie rewards account. If you tie your iTunes account to your movie anywhere account Some cool things are available to you:

1. Using Thor 2 as an example, if you use the digital copy code at the Disney movie anywhere, it places a digital copy of the movie in your locker and it shows up in your iTunes account. You can then still redeem the code at Vudu or Flixster.

2. It automatically places digital movies in your locker that you have previously redeemed the DMR code for IF THAT MOVIE CAME WITH A DIGITAL COPY CODE.

most importantly,

3. Any of the movies that are in your Disney Movie Anywhere locker can be downloaded to your iTunes library as an HD copy. Even if you had an SD copy before.

I redeemed Thor 2 and set up my Disney Movie Anywhere account. Now have 35 movies in my DMA locker. All of these that were in my iTunes account as SD, are now in my iTunes library and icloud as HD copies! Just have to delete the SD copy from iTunes, log out of iTunes, close iTunes, reopen and sign in and all the SD movies you deleted are now HD copies in the cloud.

There are also new ios apps for Disney Movie Anywhere that you can use to download or stream to your device. Also, you get a free copy of The Incredibles when you sign up for Disney Movie Anywhere.

Yeah, I just set this up last night. It's pretty cool to have all of these movies on the iPad for the kids.

Re: Disney Movie Rewards now have Blu-rays

I set mine up as well. I'm not a fan of digital copies but it's nice that my family has access via the iPad and laptops.

I was crusing through the Rewards page and noticed they have Tron Legacy in 3D too. I'm 200 points away from it, dammit!

Yes, it's awesome. I went and downloaded all my SD titles in iTunes to HD. It even worked for a few titles that oddly didn't show up in "My Digital Movies" folder on the website, like The Lion King and Monsters, Inc.

Thanks for mentioning that. I got Thor 2 from the Disney Club but wasn't aware of the rewards promotion.

Re: Disney Movie Rewards now have Blu-rays

Oh, and if you don't have the space to download them and keep them on your iPad, I think the free app in the app store allows you to stream the movies. I saw someone else mention that, so I'm assuming they already tried it.

Re: Disney Movie Rewards now have Blu-rays

Yeah, last month I noticed all the movies I have on iTunes could be streamed to my iPad in the "video" app. You can even download them straight to your iPad from the app. Nice feature, I don't even need to bring my laptop anymore to update the movies on my tablet.

You're welcome...

I got lucky and saw the banner on the web-site...I usually don't pay too much attention. I guess I am going to check every time I get a release week Disney title...

Thank you for all you do on the Amazon thread!

For me this is the biggest thing. Had 30+ Disney movies in iTunes that were SD and all were upgraded to HD.

Hmmm, Captain America isn't showing me an HD version available though all my other Disney (incl Avengers & Iron Man 2) are now newly-added HDs.

Captain America was before Disney took over Marvel releases. I think Avengers was the first one.

Thanks. I trashed the email without reading the bottom. I saved it in time and got my points.

I think the old Avengers related movies will show up if you purchased them through Itunes, but not if you redeemed a digital copy. Iron Man 1 shows up in mine and that did not have a digital copy code and is older than Thor or Captain America. I could be wrong though (not willing to test it ).

Thanks for that! I tossed my email as well and pulled it back out to get the points.

I just got an error on both saying the codes aren't live.

I tried the codes yesterday and it said that I redeemed them already which I didn't.
