Re: Disney Movie Rewards now have Blu-rays
Sad thing for me is that every one of those new offers I already have, including the entire series of Lost. As big as the Disney blu ray catalog has expanded to, I wonder why they don't offer so much more.

Put in an order for Lost Season 1-4 yesterday.
Was sitting on ~6,700 points for almost 5 years now. Glad I finally got to use them on something I wanted!

Tempting. I have 1477 points and I'm pretty sure I have a few Blu-Rays/DVDs that I need to put in (because I always leave a couple when they run their special redemption things). Liked the movie a lot, hrmmmm....

Tron Legacy 3D seems to be a pretty good deal for 2000 points. The other combo packs, maybe not so much.

Hmmm, I have 1900 pts. Might get James And The Giant Peach.

Re: Disney Movie Rewards now have Blu-rays
It seems DMR takes away about as much stuff as they add to the BD rewards list. They are so slow as molasses putting stuff available for Rewards, I have yet to see them post a single BD I don't already own... typically 1-3 years after I bought it. That's why I have over 10000 rewards points and haven't bought a single BD from them. My last DVD purchased was So Dear to My Heart (which took weeks of waiting for it to come back in stock) a year or two ago because it's actually full frame and not cropped... unlike most of their Disney classic DVDs (ones made before the 80's). As much as I'd love to get Scandalous John, A Tiger Walks, Sammy the Way Out Seal, and many others, I can't accept cropped. I never found a full list on Google of which ones are/aren't cropped. Years ago I did some research and came up with my best guesses. I think Kidnapped and Fighting Prince of Donegal may be uncropped, but I'm not sure. I'd post my list and hope others could share comments to help me figure out which aren't cropped, but I'm expecting I'd be deafened by the silence (i.e. no interest in old live action classics).
Sorry for the tangent on DVDs since this is a BD thread, but there just aren't any BDs on DMR that I want right now. I almost considered buying Lost seasons (which I already have) in hopes of flipping them to spend down some of my points, but selling anything for a particular amount is always a risky proposition.
I just hope that before the program ends and my points evaporate that someday they put some stuff I want on their rewards site and I hear about it before it goes OOS (like has happened every time they have good deals on Disney GCs). I guess if I'm desperate I'd order some of those old live action DVDs assuming Disney hasn't taken them off the list by then or is perpetually OOS.

Re: Disney Movie Rewards now have Blu-rays
I was thinking about picking up the Lost 1-4 season bundle for 5000 points and picking up the other two individual seasons elsewhere since the complete series is now out of print. Thoughts?

Sitting on thousands of points so just ordered James and the Giant Peach. Also saw they added the big Pirates of the Caribbean chest for 6K points.

Re: Disney Movie Rewards now have Blu-rays
I burned 5000 pts on the Lost blu-ray set, and then traded them in for $50 at amazon.com. I wasn't going to use the points for anything else, so was worth it for me.

Re: Disney Movie Rewards now have Blu-rays
I'd be more than happy to trade 5000 Disney points for $50 of credit there. I guess I'll keep procrastinating the issue until Disney tells us our points are going to expire and we have to use them.
I just checked Amazon and the trade in price is still $50. Blu-ray-collect, or anyone else who has done this, could you tell me exactly how many days it took you to get the Lost BD seasons from when you ordered them? Maybe if it's faster now I could try it. I just don't want to get stuck with them.

Re: Disney Movie Rewards now have Blu-rays
For anyone else who might know or remember, here's my next question: How long have the Lost S1-S4 BD trade-ins been worth $50.xx at Amazon? A couple weeks, several weeks, or months? If the trade-in price hasn't changed in a very long time, then maybe not a lot of people are doing this and it would last a while. I suppose I could lock the trade on the 5th day after I ordered from DMR, if I did it.

I don't know why they don't offer all their titles in the reward program. I hate most of the offerings, and the few I like I already own. The POTC treasure chest is cool, but I already own the films separately. And I know as soon as I use my points on the chest Disney will announce a fifth film is coming, making the chest collection incomplete.
