$14.95 Blu's at wbshop

Sherlock Holmes
Where the Wild Things Are (2 Disc Blu Ray + Digital Copy)
The Blind Side (2-Disc Blu-ray + Digital Copy)
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Small selection but that's a pretty good deal on WTWTA.

Re: $14.95 Blu's at wbshop

Thanks for the heads-up! I noticed that Amazon dropped these prices recently, but not to $14.95; Wal-Mart has them for $15.00, but I hate going there and don't really want to buy from them after this Iron Man 2 debacle. In any event, I ordered Sherlock Holmes, Where the Wild Things Are, and The Blind Side and the coupon code FREESHIP worked for free shipping. $44.85 total shipped; not bad.

Re: $14.95 Blu's at wbshop

I was hoping the WRNRBLU and FREESHIP coupons would work at the same time because $14.95 is right up against my max price for buying a newer release movie, and if I just wait another year or two I should be able to get them for closer to $10. I tried it various ways (even guest checkout) and it was one discount or the other.

I guess that's just the way it is. All those past deals posted of coupon massive stacking at WBShop are obviously a thing of the past.

Re: $14.95 Blu's at wbshop

Found a coupon for $20 off of $100 orders, with free shipping, at WBshop.com. The coupon is SAVINGS. They should work on the $14.95 titles too, but I went with:

1. Bored To Death Season 1 (BD) - $29.96
2. Fringe Season 2 (BD) - $41.21
3. Neverending Story (BD) - $9.95
4. Gremlins - $9.95
5. Twister - $13.46
Total: $104.53
Coupon SAVINGS - $20
Grand Total: $84.53

This is why I hate WBShop.com. This morning (around midnight) you post that a $20 off $100 coupon works on the $14.95 titles. I was interested in 3 of those plus 4 series... enough to easily go over $100 and use the $20 coupon. Before the $20 off $10, the WRNRBLU discount and free shipping wasn't enough discount to get me to buy these titles, but this would've done it. When I almost bought before, I had to use guest checkout because it would take my discounts away when I logged in as myself, but I said I'd hold off unless the price got better.

So, on the morning of the 21st WB Shop now has a good coupon, but the other sale just ended (as I was reminded by lilmotto), so it seems WB Shop always makes sure I can't get a good enough deal by not allowing promotions to overlap. What was most annoying is that this morning (the 21st) on other product pages it still showed the $14.95 BDs for $14.95, but when I hit the Buy Now button next to the $14.95 BD price, they showed up as $21.95 in my cart. So, WB Shop obviously doesn't want me ever to buy anything from them.

For my curiosity, I just checked my spreadsheet. I've placed 1 and only 1 order ever with WB Shop in April 2009 for 4 BDs, and my notes show that they dropped the prices on those 4 dramatically not long after I bought with ones of those coupon stacking "glitch" sales making me regret buying those 4 when I did. So I've had a total of 1 negative experience with them, 0 positives, and at least 10 missed deals.

And by taking away the $14.95 titles, the 4 series (which haven't gone up in price) are 20 cents short of the $100 coupon minimum, and on principle I'm not going to buy a filler BD I don't want for $10. I'm getting to the point that if I had any sense or brains (unfortunately I don't) I would ignore any and all threads related to WBShop.com.

Re: $14.95 Blu's at wbshop

I found the coupon in the AMs, and as of 2AM PST it was working fine! Sorry to hear it was removed since then. Still, their tv shows are cheap as heck and if you're looking for the seasons this is a great coupon to use!

I only have 4 seasons I want, and together they are 20 cents short of the $100 minimum, and I couldn't find any filler I want (it's not like Amazon where they have lots of cheap items). I previously almost placed an order with 10% off on all of these (the $14.95 + 4 season sets) + free shipping, but I restrained myself saying that $13.45 and $22.45 is still a little too much for a BD or BD season set. So I just missed it by hours after you posted. That's typical of my WBShop experience where I ALWAYS miss any "deals" by a short time. I guess fortunately they haven't had any good deals for a long time, so I haven't had to feel bad about missing any others. The lack of life in this thread shows that nobody was particularly excited about these. Walmart has the $14.95 BDs for $15 now if I wanted to pay that much (which I don't). I'm sure that the $20 off $100 coupon wouldn't have combined with WRNRBLU since they don't seem to allow stacking any more.

Made some nice Pre-Orders with free shipping, using that SAVINGS coupon (20 off 100) I also used my WB Insider discount, which you can get by signing up to insiderrewards.warnerbros.com.

Doctor Who Fifth Series (BD) - $42
V Season 1 (BD) - $25
Sherlock Season 1 (BD) - $20

Thanks for this code. I didn't get any BDs with it but I did use it along with the 25% off Insider code to get some SD box sets I couldn't find cheaper elsewhere.

With the 25% off code I got:

Film Noir Classics Volumes 3 and 5 for 29.99 ea. (I now have all of them)
Harold Lloyd Comedy Collection for 52.49

Since the total was over $60 I received free shipping. Because it was over $100 I was able to use the Savings code to save an additional $20. I was pleased I was able to stack coupons.

The film noir sets are around $38 at Amazon and the Harold Lloyd set is $77 so I'm pleased with what I paid.

Where can I find the 25% off Insider code? I'm a WB Inside Rewards member, and have an account with WB Shop. Confused. Thanks!

The SAVINGS code works. I just now used it to order the Deadwood Blu-ray set for $103 shipped. This includes an extra 25% off for being the WBInsider member.

Has anyone seen the Sherlock tv show? That was a blind buy, but for $20 (if you look at the code as saving 20%) I thought it was a safe bet.

I considered that set as well but I spent so much for the SD seasons I can't justify it. It is a good deal though.

Re: $14.95 Blu's at wbshop

Oh how I love WBShop, let me count the ways... 0, 0, and 0!

So now that I saw the Insider 25% off code posted and someone said he used it with the $20 off $100 code, I thought I can finally order those BD series I wanted at an acceptable price, but no.... in true never-ending WBShop fashion, they just jacked up all of the prices (some of them almost double) on the series I wanted since the last time I looked a few days ago. I'm just so amazed that every time anyone posts a deal or managed to combine coupons on WBShop that the moment I check, WBShop has either ended the sale prices on what I want or killed one of the coupons. It's getting laughable. I really should put WBShop on my blacklist and ignore any and all posts regarding it. I guess I foolishly keep checking these threads hoping that for once I'll score on a WBShop deal.

Probably the $24.99 titles. Also, Manzana, if you sign up to insiderrewards it should be stackable automatically. I have three accounts, and two of them always show the discount unless they manually disallowed it.

The 4 I had in mind were both Sarah Connor Chronicles and Pushing Daisies... the ones I ordered much cheaper from Gohastings which got cancelled. Fry's and Amazon have had each for about $20 so that's my upper limit. I'm sure I would throw in a couple more things if I could get 25% off $24.95 BDs to stack with the $20 off $100 and free shipping, but it looks I won't be able to.

Before I signed in before, those 4 titles all showed $24.95. Now they show much higher. Are you saying that if I sign in and sign up for insider rewards (I don't know if I ever signed up for that or how to do it... hopefully it's obvious if I go to the site) that I'll magically see the $24.95 prices again and still be able to use the 25% off and $20 off $100 coupons? I have yet to have any success at WBShop, so I'm doubtful.

Re: $14.95 Blu's at wbshop

Update from Old 09-24-10, 03:34
I PREORDERED Sherlock season 1 (BD), Doctor Who series 5 (BD), and V season 1 (BD). The first two were supposed to be released on Nov 9th but BOTH were immediately thrown into backorder and never shipped. Dr Who series 5 BD finally came in stock two weeks ago (or so) but Sherlock is still out. So I complained three times and finally they split my order into two. Dr Who and V will be shipped immediately and Sherlock season 1 BD will ship some other time when it's in stock.

Might end up canceling Sherlock season 1 if I can get it cheaper somewhere else. They're charging me $24 for it.
