Great deal if you only have a few DVDs to upgrade, normally I think you need to spend $35 to get free shipping.

Good Deal I am sending them The Cowboys (which I received as a gift) Dirty Dozen (Big Lots slashed the UPC) and An American In Paris (Big Lots slashed the UPC) and I get back three blu's for $15...Not Bad.

Hmm...not too shabby. Debating on upgrading Beetlejuice and Freddy Vs. Jason. I went to watch Beetlejuice a few weeks back, and that original release dvd does NOT upconvert too well. Easily worth the $5.
And Freddy vs. Jason, even if I could grab the blu for $5 somewhere else, the 2-disc DVD sells for $.25 on amazon, so I may as well send it in...

I've been waiting for the free shipping again. I had bought John Wayne's "Cowboys" from Big Lots just to upgrade. It was $2.00 - 20%. Looking to upgrade Cowboys, Syriana and Beetlejuice.

Re: Free shipping DVD2Blu this weekend 9/10-9/12
I think I may have asked this in the original dvd2blu forum a long time ago, but can't remember if I ever got a reply back. I kind of forgot about this program because I only had one title that I wanted to upgrade, but free shipping may make it worth it. I was wanting to upgrade my Elf DVD, but since it came with the full-screen and widescreen copies, could I just send the full screen disc in? Anyone else able to do that? I'd hate the send my DVD in, as I like having DVD copies of movies to watch elsewhere (like friend/family's house or in my mom's vehicle which has a DVD player). But I don't care if I get rid of the full screen disc. I'd gladly pay $7 and get rid of the full screen disc that I'll never use to get the blu-ray copy (wish it was one of the $5 ones, but oh well). BTW, how is the Elf transfer? I know they're coming out with an ultimate set, but is it just the same thing with a box of junk with it?

I know others did this last time and I'm going to do get rid of my FF version this time since there's no shipping

According to their website, we need to send in the DVD disc(s) and "the label with the barcode" (no cases). Is that the UPC code found on the cover sheet? If so, does it need to be detached from the cover sheet or should it all be sent together? Sorry if this information is obvious, but I haven't previously looked into the dvd2blu program.

They make it sound like you just send the discs.

1) Purchase your replacement Blu-rays online.
2) You'll receive an email (it could take up to 72 hours). Follow what the email says.
3) Print out a shipping label for free shipping.
4) Cut the upper shipping label with the barcode out and tape it to a bubble envelope.
5) Now put all the dvds that you're upgrading into the bubble envelope. Discs only, No cases.
6) It doesn't say, but I would also print the invoice out that you received via email and put it in the envelope as well.
7) Mail it out. It should take 4-6 weeks.
I've sent out 2 orders for a total of 11 dvds. I've received all 11 Blu-rays new and sealed.

Thanks! That sounds easy enough. Less trouble, I'd say, than the Disney upgrade program where you have to send in the POP tabs or remove the UPC. And these are great prices once you factor in free shipping. Would love if it WB updated titles as well, though I'm guessing we're dealing with remainder stock since a lot of these titles seem to be available for reasonable prices everywhere else.

I presume I can only order those that exactly match what's listed? In some cases I have a 2 disc special edition version but they picture the old 1 disc version (e.g. Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. My Lost Boys is a 2 disc as well and has a banner across the top of the cover not shown in the WB pic).

I was looking through the rules earlier. I'm pretty certain it indicated that any version of a title can be upgraded for its Blu counterpart. You're right, though -- it does seem like most of the photos match the oldest version of each title.
