The FAQ states that they will accept special edition versions of any DVD where only the basic edition is pictured.

However, they picture the 'Totally Awesome' edition of the The Wedding Singer on their site - so I assume they wouldn't accept my old WS/FS flipper disc of the theatrical cut for an upgrade?

Re: Free shipping DVD2Blu this weekend 9/10-9/12

WB will except the FS disc of Elf and send you the Blu-ray. You keep disc 2, the WS disc.

If it's a 2-disc SE, only send them disc 1 with the movie on it. You keep disc 2 with the extras. Later you can keep or sale disc-2. So far, WB has included all disc 2's extras on the Blu-ray.

WB will also exchange older dvds that are single-sided or flippers and have no or few extras. It doesn't matter if it's the original in the snapper or keepcase or the Special Edition. Example..WB will exchange the original The Wedding Singer for the Totally Awesome Blu-ray. Same thing in the case of Beetlejuice. WB will except and exchange the original snapper case, the keepcase version or the 20th Anniversary edition of Beetlejuice for the Blu-ray.

Another dvdtalker said they sent in the original MGM version of An American in Paris and did receive the Blu-ray.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot. I also plan to upgrade Beetlejuice and Troy.

Yup. But I missed it. I've been waiting for free shipping to come back to Red2Blu as well...

I only need to ship the dvd correct? The receipt I got doesn't say anything about a upc code or anything.

Don't worry about the smaller one. You only need the one with the bar code.

That's the receipt for delivery confirmation, you can enter the PKG ID into USPS.com tracking and find out when DVD2Blu receives your DVDs.

When they ran that last free shipping promotion on Red2Blu it was part of ending the program. Whether they did, indeed, end Red2Blu on schedule I don't know.

The deal is still live as of right now. I just placed my order. I wonder if they'll take a HD-DVD / DVD combo as a "DVD"? Guess I'll find out....

Re: Free shipping DVD2Blu this weekend 9/10-9/12

I went through with it and picked up a couple. I'm still not sold though. The only reason I did ELF was because I could send in the FF version and get the Blu but the review is terrible. I also got a couple titles but in retrospect these were already bargain titles. I probably could have gotten both for not much more than the $5 and still kept my DVD. Had they not been the original crappy flippers in snapper cases it really wouldn't have been worth it.

My thoughts exactly. I only went with Troy because the BD has the extended cut and I had a spare copy of the DVD someone gave me on hand.

I could have upgraded American History X, but I bought the keepcase DVD for $2 on Black Friday and haven't even watched it yet.

My credit card has been charged for the 3 Blu Rays I ordered but no email confirmation as to when they will be sent ?

Re: Free shipping DVD2Blu this weekend 9/10-9/12

^^You'll receive a comfirmation email when you pay, but not when they receive and ship out to you.

I just received my 6 Blu-rays all new and sealed.

Re: Free shipping DVD2Blu this weekend 9/10-9/12

I've ordered twice and neither time got any e-mail confirmation they received my DVDs or shipped the Blu-rays.

The turn around on my last order was fast though:

Ordered on 9/11
USPS delivered my DVDs to them on 9/17
My credit card was charged on 9/21
Received my Blu-rays on 9/25

I got my bluray a few days ago. Never got any emails so don't worry if you don't get any.
