Re: Can anywhere beat $195 for Lost: Complete Collection?
Some of us who bought the seasons 1 to 5 BD sets for $108.99 last December only need to get season 6. While there may be some deals (such as a lightning deal) around BF for the whole collection, I'm afraid there won't be any specials just for season 6 BD that will be roughly the same price I paid for the other seasons ($21.80 each). However, given that I'm still only halfway through season 1 and at my current rate it'll probably take me 1-2 years before I finish season 5, hopefully by then there will be a $25 or less season 6 BD deal.
I haven't missed any season 6 new release special deals? I know there was a $10 off coupon if you buy certain DVDs (that I don't want to buy), but I think that makes the "best" new release price for the BD $40 + tax... still $15 too high for me.

I added it to my cart along with the code and the discount was taken off. I've purchased many items from gohastings and they are reliable. Do a search here for threads regarding gohastings.

Huh - it doesn't come up when I do the same. Wonder if the code is expired. It comes up as 212.15 (with tax) before and after I enter the code.

People in other gohastings threads also had trouble getting this code to work. Some people said that if you create an account and then opt-in to their mailing list, the code will then work.

That's the way I feel about it. I have so much crap to watch there's no way I would rip into this series any time soon. It will either drop to a great price on amazon.com DOTD or for Black Friday. Either way, I can wait. I just rented the complete series again before season six premiered on TV, so I am good for now.

I'm a sucker for the bonus discs, but I already got in on the deal Amazon had both for s1-5 and s1-2 (with the $20 upgrade rebate on s1-2 I paid less than $5 for both). I sold s1-2 from the s1-5 set at Amazon for a nice profit and also sold off my SD sets of s1-3 while keeping the bonus discs. And I also sneakily bought the Best Buy exclusive of s5 and returned to them the regular s5 I got from Amazon with the same UPC. So, if you don't include what I originally paid for SD sets I'm almost breaking even atm.
Only the bonus disc of the complete set interests me, but not enough to rebuy s1-5. What is all that paper junk with it anyway? A game?
How many bonus discs has there been anyway? I got s1, 2 and 5 from Best Buy, missed out on s4 from Walmart (and can't find it anywhere) and don't think s3 came with any anywhere?!? I also got one of the TV Guide discs. I believe they issued one after s1 and one after s2?!? I'm also missing the slipcover from s4, but I've resigned to not ever finding that.

BestBuy has a bonus disc for Season 6 too. They have a deal where you can order Season 6 and get $20 off DVD and $25 off BluRay of any set from Season 1 - 5

As for Amazon, if you leave it in your cart, it might pop up in your Gold Box. That's how I pre-ordered one for $185. I might cancel that and go with Hastings for $170. I've purchased a decent amount from them and they are reliable and have good customer service.

Re: Can anywhere beat $195 for Lost: Complete Collection?
Thanks for mentioning that. I just read the link at Blu-ray.com forums and someone reported some copies don't have the coupon inside (perhaps only Best Buy ones do). So, first I'd have to buy The Last Song BD ($16 AC) which I've never seen and that's too expensive for a blind buy, and then I'd have to HOPE that my copy has the coupon which it might not. I'm afraid I'll be stuck waiting 1-2 years for a deal around $25. Maybe if I finish season 5 before then I'll cave in and pay more, but I'm not even 10 episodes into season 1.

If you're an Amazon.Com store card user, you can use code SCBOXSET for an additional 15% off. This would make the set $165 and change. You also qualify for financing on any single item priced $149 and above when you use the card.

Re: Can anywhere beat $195 for Lost: Complete Collection?
Is anyone buying this someone who doesn't have to own the extras and would be willing to sell me the bonus disc?
I'm doubtful, but if such a person does exist... please do consider!

I just ordered it for $160.56 from Hastings with the 20% off coupon. Best deal I've seen, by far.
