Even if you think it is a dopey movie for some reason, the car chase alone is worth 8 bucks.

Unless you don't like action films from the 60s (starring the great Steve McQueen no less) I see no reason why you wouldn't like this. Like mentioned in the other post one of the greatest car chases ever.

2. The Train Job
3. Bushwacked
4. Shindig
5. Safe
6. Our Mrs. Reynolds
7. Jaynestown
8. Out of Gas
9. Ariel

Still a good deal. TV shows, IMO, typically have the best rewatch value.

Here's the DVD review:

http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/15879...ctors-edition/

FYI. I e-mailed Unearthed Films to ask if the Blu-Ray will have all the features that the 2-Disc did.

Everything except the alternate version. Couldn't do it cause it's not in hi def but it has everything except the booklet

Thanks for the info. In this case, I'll hang on to the 2-Disc DVD.

It seems they could have still included the alternate cut on the BD as a standard def feature, but oh well.

Ah, I knew I'd get in trouble by relying on faulty memory rather than actually looking it up. Now the outrage makes sense. :)

Damn, I was hoping maybe there were two more unreleased episodes that had someone been snuck onto a new version. Sadness.

I've seen every episode at least twice and Serenity umpteen times, but I still can't remember how many episodes there are -ohbfrank-

Now it's back down to $22.99 again if anyone missed it last time it was on sale (like me).

Man, amazon gets sort of crazy with their price changes.

$19.99 now and purchased. (Samurai 7)

Yeah, I got in for the $22.99. It still hasn't shipped yet, though.

If it ships while the price is 19.99, do you think I have any chance of getting a $3 credit? If not, no biggie, it's just $3, but that would be nice.

call them up or email them explaining that the price has lowered to 19.99 but the price on your account hasnt reflected that yet, and they will go ahead and change it for you. now occasionally you will get the occasional employee who doesnt fully read your email and they will send out a generic canned message about pre order price guarentee. IN which case you politely respond back by clicking no they didnt help you. and explain why they need to adjust your price and they will do it definately then.

amazon cs is great for most part but occasionally they do have the person who doesnt really read your email in which case you just have to emphasize that what you need done

I ordered this Wednesday night (Sherlock Holmes), got it today (I have Amazon Prime) and it was the Blu-ray/DVD/Digital Copy with Slipcase!
So anyone on the fence should go for this as you can't beat the price (it's still $15.49 as of right now)

Nah, you did say that there could be random copies still lying around. Hard to say when you can't see it online.

Well if Solid Snake PAC didn't suggest it I probably wouldn't have tried.
After reading that I thought what the hell, I want the movie anyway, that's a decent price, and the other stuff will be a bonus if I do get it.
The listing at Amazon does say it's one disc, so looks like his guess is right and they are clearing out the last of the combo packs.

Exactly. As I understand Warner's strategy, they do the combos in the initial ship and then do generics, so I can certainly understand stock being mixed, and that's what you said.

This is an asinine strategy, by the way, but I'll try not to derail the thread too much further.

They have the same UPC. So if you get a 1 Disc release, just go to any retail store and buy the Combo and return the Single disc one. Problem solved.

Decided to use my Walmart credit from the Iron Man 2 debacle to get Sherlock Holmes from Walmart (ship to store) for $5 and change.
