Re: Kmart AD Blu-ray Prices [August 8 - 14, 2010]

Thanks OP! Was able to get Best Buy to price match Zombieland and Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs 3D for $14.99 each.

KMart had the standard blu ray of Cloudy with the SKU on the display case for $14.99. They didnt have the 3D one. Now Sears would have price matched (they said) since they are owned by KMart (per clerk in Electronics). They just didn't have any in stock either.

An obivious mistake at the weekly circular level for using the 3D version of the movie.

The second Best Buy had two in stock - they are near the Sony 3D Blu Ray/TV Demo displays if anyone else wants to bite.

Thanks Incredipinoy!

Victor

Re: Kmart AD Blu-ray Prices [August 8 - 14, 2010]

I checked out my Kmart and they had quite a few Cloudy BD's but none of the 3D's, the person in the department said it had to have been a mistake to use the 3D BD image..

I was tempted to pick this up at BB w/ a price match, but reading the review on bluray.com, they said that not all the bonus features have been carried over on this release.

Tempted to try the pricematch, but by the time I get a 3D set-up that disc will probably be $5.

Pricematched at Best Buy today! No issues with getting "Cloudy" 3-D for $14.99! Thanks OP for the $20 savings!

Does the 3-D version come with a digital copy? If it does, is the digital copy Apple/iTunes-compatible? The 2-D version came with a PSP digital copy only.

No digital copy in mine. If there had been, I'm sure it would've been PSP only too.

Best Buy Reward Zone Certificate. $1 = 1 point. For every 250 point earned gets $5 RZ Cert. Sometime they give out bonus point, e.g. double, triple, quad points from coupon/promotion/sale.

As far as bargain store ambience/cleanliness goes, I would say:

Target >>> Walmart > Kmart

Re: Kmart AD Blu-ray Prices [August 8 - 14, 2010]

I had several negative experiences with Kmart over the years that I stopped going even though I have one close by. Not just because of the dark rundown grungy look, but every time I went, something would ring up at the wrong price.

I'd never been to Kmart since 2007 at one time.

Re: Kmart AD Blu-ray Prices [August 8 - 14, 2010]

Every time I try to do a price match at Best Buy they actually call the store I'm trying to price match to ask if they have any in stock!

[rant] Why do you think I'm price matching it here!?!? Because I'm too lazy to go over to the other store!?!? It's because they don't have any!!! [/rant]

Well, why would you even begin to expect them to pricematch if you can't buy it at the competing store?

Something being in-stock at the competitor is a basic part of the whole concept. Sure, we sometimes get lucky and they forget to call, but I always expect them to. And if Kmart doesn't have it, then I don't deserve it at their price at Best Buy.

Re: Kmart AD Blu-ray Prices [August 8 - 14, 2010]

Picked up the 3D version of Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs Blu-ray today. I didn't have the K-Mart ad with me, and went to customer service. They looked it up online, and adjusted the price. One of the few times I have had no trouble price matching at my store.

Re: Kmart AD Blu-ray Prices [August 8 - 14, 2010]

Kmart is notorious for having the wrong picture in their ad's. I think it may even be a ploy to get people in looking for the title pictured.

I remember a few black fridays ago they had the King Kong 3 disc set listed for $4.. I went in there to get it and all they had were the regular 1 disc edition. I asked where the item listed was and they said they never got it and the regular one was the actual item. That was the last time i've been at that store.

Do all of you guys have 3D TVs and Players, or are you picking it up just in case?

Yes I see what your saying, I don't expect them too if that's their policy, I just don't have any reason to go there and price match something unless it's not in stock at the store having the sale.

I've done price matches at Wal-mart and Target several times and have never had it happen at those stores so I guess that's what irks me

Thatís what I was wondering as well. Why not just get the regular set with all the special features? By the time you get a 3D TV (assuming it stays around that long) the disc will be well under $15.
