I just got back from the westhollywood bestbuy and saw a two pack of both predator movies, (including the new ultimate hunter edition, but no movie cash)on bluray for 19.99 they allso had the ultimate hunters edition bluray for 14.99 as well.(with movie cash)

I cant find any mention of the collection on bestbuys website but 19.99 for both movies is a great price to keep a look out for in your stores.

Yep, I like my movies to have intended grain.

But I also suspect not a lot of people know about this issue so there is no harm in posting a link to some discussion and screenshots. Every major site has weighed in and called it a waxy stinker.

Ordered the Predator UHE for $14.99 in-store pickup and they gave me the Predator Collection which includes UHE and Predator 2 when I picked it up! Cool deal.

yeah iam pretty sure its that price as thats what the sign in front of them said and thats what the reciept says.
both movies packaged togeather for 19.99 perhaps the west hollywood bestbuy has jumped the gun on a upcomming sale price for this with the new movie releasing into theatres next week. But who knows all i know is that i paid 19.99 for it and i have had it since yesterday

That was a long thread. What is DNR? In my line of work, it's an order not to resuscitate the terminally ill, but I don't think that's what's being discussed in this case.

on the left..the "fixed" image. He looks plastic and not human at all. Or as Human as Arnold is. that's DNR. On the right is the grainier image. BUT it also looks better cuz it has the visible flaws and structure of Arnold. Look at the lips. They look weird. The face is waxy etc etc.

I found this collection at BB yesterday, but could not bring myself to purchasing it. Anyway, to answer your question, it is an actual set. Both separate releases housed within a slipcase.

Please tell me you're joking. Look at Arnold's eyes. They look fake. Like...it's a fantasy film and they glimmer. The indentions on his lips are gone. So is various features on his face. And that fucking shirt is the biggest culprit. It doesn't even look reals. Looks...like plastic. And that's not the way it's supposed to look.

Actually, I like how the eyes look on the left. On the right, you can barely see them. But the rest of him does indeed look plastic. The detail is completely smoothed over. Thank you for the screen comparison, Solid Snake, since I truly had no idea what you guys meant by "plastic-y" until I saw it myself.

Wow! Besides the plastic look ... all the wrinkles on his face are exaggerated. His crows feet, forehead wrinkles and corner of the mouth are all over pronounced.
