Re: Target Media Prices (June 13 - June 19, 2010)

was able to price match for the 2 disc collection of 2012 at BB.

something to note with anyone else trying to get the 2 disc version. Both small white stickers on the single and the double disc versions say $29.99, not sure if this would help convince anyone you have the version in the Target ad.

Crap, I just got the second one from DD for around $15. Oh well. For that price I may pick up the Kelly's/Eagles one too.

I didn't even notice the second page this time.

Also, much thanks to the poster letting us know the Kelly's Heroes/ Where Eagles Dare Double Feature is $10. Are any of the other releases as well - such as Presumed Innocent / Frantic?

Re: Target Media Prices (June 13 - June 19, 2010)

Went to Target this morning and was disappointed to discover that Hurt Locker on Blu-Ray did not ring up @ $12. The ad is completely misleading and I suppose if someone bitched loud enough, the Store Director would cave. I wasn't in the mood to squabble over $3 so I simply declined the purchase.

I also declined to purchase The Hangover for $14.99 because I wasn;t certain if it included a digital copy. There weren't any indications on the back of the box.

Does anyone know if the unsleeved Blu-Ray for The Hangover contains a digital copy?

Thanks.

Did they have a price error notification listing posted? cause if not legally they have to atleast honor the 12.00 price on Hurt locker, cause it clearly says dvd OR bluray. technically they should have to honor for invictus also but they are prob in the clear since the price latter in the ad is 22 but they definately have to honor the hurt locker for 12.00

so far it seems that if you get any of these titles that are initially released as bluray/digital copy or bluray/dvd/digital copy combos. and the outer sleave is gone then you are prob just getting the blu. though being target, it can always be a instance of them just taking the sleeve off for the security case, though considering this was released almost 7months ago now, its probably one of the latter shipments that was blu only.

I just bought the Kelly's Heroes/ Where Eagles Dare Double Feature last week for full price. If I take in my receipt, can I get a price adjustment?

You should; I think the price adjustment period is up to 10 days after purchase. Otherwise, you could just re-buy and return on the original receipt.

Look at the ad. Show me where the Blu-ray says $12. Go.

Ok, see how there is no indication? Yeah, that's because it's not $12.

Here is the ad:

Please tell me where it says DVD or Blu-ray. Wait, did you not read where it says
Each DVD or Blu-ray SHOWN

Funny...I see 2012 in a Blue case but no HURT LOCKER. Never amazes me how people don't read the entire ad and will argue with employee's who are 100% in the right. Confusing? Sure. But simply reading the verbage would have made it clear.

Same as it never amazes me that someone sits there and 99 perrcent of the time complains about bluray yet, continues to buy them anyways.

And for the record i read where it said SHOWN, not every title featured in ads uses a bd case or a dvd case in the ads. there are times it will end up just being generic art and no indication of a bd or dvd case.
by your thought process then 2012 shouldnt be 12.00 yet when i went to target today there it was with a 12.00 price card infront of it.

The ad is pretty damn clear. Sorry if you can't understand it. 2012 is shown as the Blu-ray, hence the $12 price. Not sure how you don't understand that one either. It's the items shown plus more in store. Does not mean the Blu-ray version of the DVDs shown will be $12 or vice-versa. Let's take a gander!

2012 on DVD = $19.99
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaat?

But hey, nice dig at me! Good to know someone twice my age can act half mine (and for the record, that would be 13).

It figures my Target wouldn't stock these titles - YMMV

...or the Ang Lee Hulk

Off to Amazon I go...

I think it scanned for $29.99 for me yesterday. It's not on sale, so I wouldn't worry about it.

On another note, I did take the ad over to Walmart to price match the two disc for $12
