The really sad this is I will be stopping buy and buying one for my sister since her Birthday is in a few days. She would get a total kick out of it since she loves the show. Aside from a tasty $4 beverage...nahh. Those prices are way to high for titles that have been lower several times in the past few months. Which is good since It just means I buy way less now.

They should GIVE you a free bottle of that if you buy the season set there.... Instead, I'll get it at Target cuz of the bonus disc. I'll pricematch Best Buy afterwards with my receipt (when they can't see that it is a Target exclusive)

Another week of disappointment for me. I've been patiently waiting for Ninja Assassin to go on sale or drop, but it's been $25 or more since release 3 months ago. Not sure I've seen a blu hold price like that particular movie...

24.99 for G.I Joe.. Really?

The movie was alright, but more like 5 or 6 bucks alright, which is what I paid for it.

$29 for Avatar? What a joke. I can't wait for more sub-level pricing come Nov.

This is what happens in a world with no competition. As much as Circuitous City sucked, at least they kept the Beast Buy in check.

You can get it for $15 right now from B&N. You need to use the bn.com/gsa link and coupon code GSA1020
I bought it the other day. Still the same price now...

The pricing for new releases has been God awful recently.

During the Holidays, I picked up several titles like Hangover, Star Trek and Terminator Salvation all for under $20, sometimes close to $15. Now, you can't buy a single new release BR for less than $22-23 bucks.

Avatar BR, especially being barebones, for $30. Who the hell in their right mind is going to pick it up? Especially with the 4-disc release coming in less than 6 months.

It's so disheartening to look at BR ads these days...

Unfortunately, the uninformed weekend BestBuy parent will be buying it for their family. They will be celebrated for a few weeks...then forgotten again...only to buy another over-priced Blu-ray to be celebrated for yet another short-term of time.

I'm pretty sure there is competition in the form of Walmart, Target, Amazon etc.

All Best Buy are doing is hurting themselves when people won't even come in the store with those prices.

I've had a $25 Reward Cert sitting in my wallet for two months now but just can't spend it on a $30 BD when that $30 BD is like $18 from Amazon. Even though the GC is 'free' money, I just can't be swayed.

Re: Best Buy Media Prices (May 23-29, 2010)

I went ahead and picked up Beyond a Reasonable Doubt BD for $9.99.
