Up to 50% off blu-rays at Fred Meyer

Fred Meyer is having a Founder's Day sale this week and there's actually a large number of blu-rays for 50% off, unlike other stores where only a few are discounted that much and most are set at the cheapest discount. Pretty much every blu-ray had a discount. 20% was the cheapest discount.

I ended up getting:
Raging Bull
There Will Be Blood
Hellboy 2
Shrek 3
The Princess Bride
American Psycho

Prices were between $7-$12 each.

Ooh! Thanks for the heads-up! Gotta hit Freddy's this Saturday for a major grocery run, so I'll definitely check out the blu-rays while I'm there.

I'm hoping to find some Universal Blu-Rays at a good price, plus use my two $5 Facebook coupons. The coupons are supposed to apply on regular priced Blu-Rays, but they may not check the wording too closely.

Re: Up to 50% off blu-rays at Fred Meyer

The discounts range from 10-50% off depending on price and whether they're newer releases or older catalog titles. You'll have to look to find what you determine to be a "bargain." Event Horizon for $8.49 is a bargain for me, and several Sony Blu's (Run Lola Run for example) come up $8.99.

I also picked up the Notebook for $15.29; not really a bargain, but considering Best Buy was not going to carry it in store (same for Target and Walmart), I don't have to order it online and have it in hand now as a gift for the wifey this week.

This sale goes through Saturday, May 15th.

Yay, it worked (but barely)! I got Casino (one of the 50%-off titles) for $6.49 (($22.99*.5)-$5). The clerk wasn't concerned about the "regular price" wording, but the fact that it wouldn't scan in their system. This appears to be a common problem with these particular Universal coupons. I did show her my second coupon and pointed out that it had a totally different number. I also told her I was willing to wait if she wanted to verify it via the veri-fi.com website. In the end, she reluctantly agreed to take it. I foresee problems if I try to use the second one though.

thanks for info on the sale OP.These prices are not to bad.
To bad I'm out of state for awhile.
I love shopping at Freddy's,but their prices on dvd's and blu's are way to high for my cheap ass.

I think over the the last 5 years or so I have only bought two blu's their and 6 or so dvd's on black Friday.Even with no sales tax in Oregon.

And their selection is very good for a retail store.

I agree. I only shop for movies there when there's a sale like this. The last time was 6 months ago or something where they had 20% off movies plus there was another coupon that would take more off the more you spent, which was calculated after the 20% off. It was something like an extra 25%-35% if you spent $150. That got me some good deals.

This sale was well timed for me since I'm visiting family in Oregon. Most of the discounts weren't very good (10% off $29.99 titles?) but I saw a number of $14.99 titles discounted 40% to $8.99, including Run Lola Run, A Few Good Men, In the Line of Fire, Into the Blue, and both Resident Evil titles. I picked up several titles to watch and sell.
