Fantastic pricing.

I wish the Ultimate Electronics in Vegas would sell Blu-rays.

We badly need one of these in VA....after Circuit City went out of business, all we're left with here is Best Buy, no Fry's, no Ultimate Electronics, nothing....we got HH Gregg now in a few of the former CC locations, but they don't sell media....

Re: Ultimate Electronics - $6.99 blu-ray sale

There are some BDs I'd buy at that price, but as was stated in the predecessor thread to this ad about the last set of cheap BDs at Ultimate Electronics... very few of their stores still carry DVDs or BDs. So, if anyone actually finds such a store, please post its location!

Ultimate Electronics off 84th and I-25 in Denver, Colorado has/had a big selection (as of yesterday morning when they opened).

Re: Ultimate Electronics - $6.99 blu-ray sale

We just had one open up in Tucson a few weeks ago. Their sale pricing is pretty damn good. I think they actually promise to beat amazon and bestbuy on new release pricing.

While their sale prices are good, it's pretty much all or nothing because if the movie isnt on sale it is priced at MSRP.

They are going to be opening one in Milwaukee, where a Circuit City used to be. I hope our store will have the media department...
From the article I read:
By the end of 2010, Ultimate plans to open 70 new stores, according to the magazine. It now operates 32 stores in nine states.

You need to hope that one opens up near you THAT ALSO CARRIES DVDS AND BDS.

I have a UE half a mile from me, but it doesn't matter because they dumped all their DVDs and BDs more than a year ago. It's pretty much HDTVs, cameras, stereos, BD/DVD players, home appliances, and overpriced accessories (stuff like a 6 foot $100 Monster cable). The last time I tried to pricematch a Fry's ad at UE last year, they refused saying they would be losing money... so I PM'd it at Sears instead (as I hate to buy from Fry's unless I have no other options) and haven't been in UE since though I drive by it daily. To be fair, Best Buy also refused to PM the item for the same reason. I guess Sears got it cheaper or didn't care if they lost a little money.

Re: Ultimate Electronics - $6.99 blu-ray sale

Maybe your UE has blu-rays now, and lowered prices? I was like you, and always considered UE to be way over priced. But, when I saw the ad, I changed my mind. Ever since they changed their exterior design of the B&M stores, it seems they have become a little more price-friendly.
