Have to keep an eye open if it hits Amazon US for a comparable price. Oh, and you might want to rename your title so folks know it's UK only.

I think you mean Robin Hood - Complete Series One is £15.47.

Some deals I noticed:

Werner Herzog - Encounters in the Natural World Boxset (includes Encounters at the End of the World, Grizzly Man, White Diamond, La Soufriere & Flying Doctors of East Africa) [Blu-ray] £15.99

Star Trek: Films 1-10 Remastered Special Edition Box Set [Blu-ray] £79.99

The Bed Sitting Room [Blu-ray] (Peter Cook/Dudley Moore flim I've never seen but want to) £8.99

All prices are before VAT is removed.

Is the Ultimate Bourne Collection the same as the one here? I know it's not region locked, but is it missing anything?

doctorthodt 04-26-10 08:26 PM

Re: amazon uk deals

Nope, same transfers and bonus features. Not sure whether any of the supplements are in SD PAL though.

Also, you may want to check and see what your credit card company or bank charges for foreign currency purchases. My bank charges 3% of the total, which will be about $0.90.

ilovedeals 04-27-10 10:20 AM

Re: Batman The Motion Picture Anthology 28$ +ship

i read amazon can do the exhchange rate i think they charge less then 3% if that helps but i didnt figure out how to do it so my mastercard did it but even at 3% its still cheaper then buying from usa or canada where i live

Nice list, BTW. One of the reviewers at Amazon UK indicated the Underworld set was region B locked.

Call me a snob if you will, but I just can't buy imports because of how hideous the ratings labels are. A lot of people will read this and think I'm dumb for caring about the packaging, but presentation is important to me too, not just the content. And yeah, I could print custom covers, but that's a lot of ink to use on covers that may not end up printing that well anyway, and the discs will still have the logos, and just at the end of the day, lower price or not, it's just not worth it for me. I'll hold off until I can find the U.S. set in the $35-$40 range, or the individual titles for ~$10 each.

If you really cared about packaging you'd need one of each.

agreed but i hate the oversized case even more. and with that said i plan on picking up "What Women Want", not available in the US and should be less than 10 bucks.

Kory 04-27-10 04:48 PM

Re: amazon uk deals

Yeah the only UK Blu-ray release I've thought about buying is "The Boat That Rocked," since the U.S. only got the edited down and renamed version, "Pirate Radio."

Re: amazon uk deals

I got Almost Famous from there. It came in 5 days from the UK which is pretty amazing. Paid like 14 bucks for it, and it's not even out here yet.
