Re: amazon uk deals
Does Amazon UK have the pre-order low price guarantee? City of the Living Dead blu just went down to 12.99(pounds). Looks like some nice exclusive extras the US release won't have.

Re: amazon uk deals
I agree that Amazon UK do have some outstanding blu ray prices and I've ordered a couple from them with no issues whatsoever and with extremely fast shipping.
So far I've picked up 'BBC Planet Earth' & 'The Bourne Trilogy'.
I'm going to give the site a once over since my brother will be visiting in June and I'll have him bring over a suitcase load lol
What to choose, what to choose.....I know 'Band Of Brothers' is on the list since, believe it or not, I've actually never seen it

Both Big Fish and original Texas Chainsaw Massacre are pretty cheap (5.99 pounds). Does TCM have any extras exclusive to the UK release? Is it region free? [TCM UK version is not listed at Blu Ray Region Code site].
YMMV on Big Fish - several bad reviews about picture quality.

Sorry I missed that thread. So - to recap, TCM UK is Region B and includes everything on the Dark Sky US release + 3 interview segments exclusive to UK...plus codec that's supposedly a little better than the US blu-ray. Looks like UK may be the way to go on this one (I've got an Oppo player that's region free for DVD...and can supposedly change it to alternate blu-ray regions, but just haven't had any non-Region A's yet to test it).

Re: amazon uk deals
Planet Earth BD has dropped since I ordered it last week.

Edit: Maybe not. I saw my total after shipping. It's still a fine deal.

Re: amazon uk deals
Just got Stardust for 17.18 shipped, not a spectacular deal, but I hear the movie is amazing. It is not available in the US yet and there are at least 4 copies on ebay that sold for 30 to 35 a piece so this is a great deal compared to those.
Just mentioning that.
And from everything I read it should be region free. I can report back when I receive it to be safe if everyone wants.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Stardust-Spe...dp/B002XISFCM/ (£8.45 in cart + £3.08 shipping = $17.18 USD)

The Rules of Attraction - about $13.50 after shipping
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Rules-Attrac.../dp/B001Q94TQU
it loses some of the commentaries from the US DVD, but it
1. features a 5.1 track, DVD was only 2.0
2. is the uncut version
3. isn't available in the US
Excellent underrated movie, I picked it up in a heartbeat

The Boat that Rocked is at £8.99. It seemed like it'd make a good double bill with the Woodstock blu I ordered at the same time thanks to the thread on that release.
I'd like to add that the blu of Pirate Radio is currently $26.49 on Amazon US.

Re: amazon uk deals
Dirty Harry Collection is listed as 24.99 GBP, but when added it to my cart and logged in as living to the U.S. the price i was charged was 21.50 GBP. That's just over $31 and way cheaper than amazon.com or any other store i've checked.

Re: amazon uk deals
The prices shown include the VAT (tax), and are removed for orders shipping to the US. Your actual price will always be a little less than what is shown.

Batman - The Motion Picture Anthology
17.99 translates to $26. Compare that to $73.49 here in the states.
Is this a regular price for Amazon UK, or is this lower than usual?
