Re: Gladiator and Braveheart Rebate Rip offs!
I sent in both as well and got the rebates about 6-8 weeks later with no issues. I always make scans of them before I send them out too.

The rebates have been hit or miss for me. Most go through fine, but every once in a while there is one that seems to have major issues.

Wow, this is the greatest "Blu-ray Bargain" of all time!
Sorry you don't like Paramount's rebates, but discussion about them really belongs in another forum....

Before the expiration date or the postmark-by date of the rebate offer. I believe for this one it's June 30 for the offer, postmarked by July 31. Don't quote me.

Re: Gladiator and Braveheart Rebate Rip offs!
I bought these movies on Amazon during Black Friday 2009. I finally got around to sitting down and completing the rebate form and then noticed this provision in small print at the bottom of the rebate form that you had to purchase the title from the same state that you live in....I guess my question is how strict are they about this? Has anyone here successfully had their rebate processed using an Amazon receipt that didn't live in Washington state where Amazon is headquartered? I live in California and would welcome your feedback. Thanks.

Oh NO! Those had to be out by 6/30....
Edit: Wait! I just re-read the fine print: must be PURCHASED by 6/30, but POSTMARKED by 7/31. Whew! Still have another month.

Why don't you repurchase them at a store, keep the receipt and make copies of the receipt (rebate form says copies are acceptable). Then after you submit the rebate form with the copied receipts, return the Blu-ray Discs where you purchased them with the original receipt.

I bought the Gladiator Blu-ray through Columbia House. I sent in a copy of the invoice and received the $10 check a month later. If they are willing to accept a Columbia House invoice, then I cannot see any reason why there would be any problem with purchasing through Amazon.

No really its a crap shoot for me. Costco always get those. Staples before I had setup a business account I would not get them. Then one day I was really piss off (the sales person said I would get it, Ya Ya). I told them this would and be the end of me buying from them. As me, they told me no problem till I cancel the order. Even then I still left it cancel. They still sent the truck with the chairs and desks. "FREE" (way more then I have lost in rebates).
When I was going to school I had marketing class's. One of the things is I had thought that only 20% of the people would not send them in. I was shock that it was only 20% would send them in.
Since I posted that last I did get one, one that I sent in over 3 years ago. They did say "Sorry" and took the full blame. I just wish I had remember what it was for ($100).
