Amazon - Avatar now $19.95
Amazon has price matched retail stores prices for Avatar. It is currently available for $19.99 (previously $24.99).
Don't forget their deal where you can buy Avatar with another Fox BD to save $3.
If you pre-ordered this like I did, Amazon should automatically adjust the price.

Yeah op, make sure you get the price right next time. That 4 cents is a deal breaker for me and kills the deal.
and you mean .18 posts a day right Trevor? :P
hell i'm only at 1.1 posts per day and over 4k in less time

Too bad they don't have Donnie Darko as one of the "$3 off" selections; that's about the only Fox Blu-ray I don't have that I might want.
Even though I'm holding out for the Avatar SE that's due later this year, I'd seriously consider picking up bot for about $27.

Thanks OP. I had missed this combo deal. Canceled my pre-order and grabbed an Avatar/Xmen combo. For some reason, it gave me $3 Off twice. Must have been a leftover discount stuck to my account. Total came to $27.98.

Why in the world would they need to remaster a movie made in 2005? Or are you talking about the encode?

Really? What's wrong with it? I thought it looked great. Most reviewers gave it high marks:

Re: Amazon - Avatar now $19.95
HT Mag recently came out with the top 100 Blu Ray discs. In the Best PQ Live action category, KOH was named one of the top ten. They said, "The video quality on the this glorious Blu Ray isn't immediately obvious. However, once you experience the challenges that director Ridley Scott gave to this cinematographer, including heavily shaded faces and shots that pan from near darkness to bright sunlight, it is. .....this video transfer doesn't let him down." Taken as a whole from other reviews, one would say that DVD Polizei opinion is in the minority. And, less eloquent ("KOH sucks ass on Blu").

It'd be nice if they'd try and beat Target instead of matching. I'm just going to go in the morning and pick it up, bring it home for the same price and watch it instead of waiting on the mailman.

I've got exactly the same question about picking up "Master and Commander." Well, almost exactly the same. I've got the 2-disc DVD version of that movie as well.

I did the same; for $8.99 I'm hoping it's worth the blind buy.
But I'll point out that the original Die Hard [BD] is just $11.49-$3.00=$8.49, in case there's anyone who wants it but doesn't already have it. That's a good price for a good movie IMHO.
I figured that Amazon would match the $20 price at Target so I have "pre-sold" the Avatar DVD to my local library for $12, making my cost $8 for the BD. Works for me.
