I went with Apollo 13 and Carlito's Way. I'm really wanting to watch them again, so $17ish was good enough. I am keeping an eye on the prices tho, just to see if they drop any more...

I wonder if the Traffic Blu-ray will be any good. Previous releases have all been horrible.

Traffic was purposely filmed "grainy" so I seriously doubt you'll notice any difference. As far as Dune looking good, the HD DVD looked great, so I wouldn't expect anything less.

These are all Universal releases, I think. The prices are a little high for releases being ported over to Blu when they've been on HD DVD for over a year.

Well, I believe the German release is supposed to be an improvement on the US release. So there is room to grow...

FWIW, it doesn't sound like this is worth the upgrade due to the omission of the tv cut and generally average quality.

Of all the Brick and Morter's where I saw Apollo 13 on Blu, Best Buy was the only retailer that I saw with the movie ticket. Therefore, Your Mileage May Vary.

Actually the Movie Ticket was a Sticker on the Cover (under the Shrink Wrap - the Shrink Wrap over the Shrink Wrap which was over the Slip Case and not the Blu - yes 3 layers ... under the first).. and you peel it off and turn it over for a code you enter online to get your printed eCash...
