Only with this recent clusterfuck of increasing soooo many of the films I want has this caused an issue w/ me. *sigh* Should've gotten VCB when I had the chance..fucking damnit.

After renting VCB some time ago I discovered it only has one sound track, and that is True HD audio. Just a heads up for anyone unable to play the HD track.

Any BD with a Dolby TrueHD audio track also has a "hidden" regular Dolby Digital audio track as well for legacy equipment....it will play if you do not have the ability to decode and use the TrueHD track....

That's true. Dolby TrueHD has a DD 5.1 core inside of it and DTS HD Master has a DTS 5.1 core inside of it. Since I have an amplifier and BD player which doesn't support those formats (just a simple 5.1 system in the bedroom), I asked how I could play those tracks and hear good 5.1 sound without the right decoders. You can't believe how many Walmart, Fry's Electronics, Sears, and Best Buy employees I went through who were clueless about how it worked and some invented explanations to seem smart. I finally found a Best Buy employee who knew what he was talking about (so rare) after about a dozen times asking electronics employees at each of those stores. Then I looked up online (once I knew to search for things like "DTS core") and verified what he said.

My other favorite part when buying the amplifier was that none of those stores had a DD or DTS 5.1 system next to a DD True HD or DTS HD Master system side by side for comparison. So there was absolutely no way I could compare. Between different stores/rooms and different demos, I sure couldn't hear any difference, so I saved myself some money with just the basic amplifier.

I was unable to play it with audio on my computer at the time I had rented it. I may have been in error regarding it having a True HD track. It only had a lossless PCM audio track and no DTS or DD track to extract.
