Target weekly ad 3/14-3/20

Courtesy of D head at the br forums:

New Moon - $24.99
The Princess and the Frog - $19.99
The Princess and the Frog Deluxe - $26.99
(free Princess Tiana purse with purchase of either PatF version)

Weak week. I'm sure they'll be carrying more (Astro Boy, Ninja Assassin, Breaking Bad), but that's all they have advertised.

Re: Target weekly ad 3/14-3/20

What's the difference between the deluxe and regular version of PatF? I'm assuming the $20 version is just the combo pack, as that seems to be the norm and the deluxe version just has some extra stuff with it. If so, that would make it only $10 with the coupon. Definitely getting this one.

Deluxe has DVD + Digital Copy . 3 Discs total. Also, different cover art.

And not eligible for the $10 coupon. Glad they are not pulling that crap for the Toy Stories.

Is this known for a fact? Has the coupon surfaced yet?

edit: nm, I guess people are assuming this because it's the case for the Ponyo and Old Dogs coupons as well. Carry on then.

Oddly enough, there is a $5 off redplum coupon floating around that gets you $5 off if you buy the 'Twilight' Doc. So with with the $5 Giftcard, it's free! Not bad.

No combo deal for buying New Moon along with the first Twilight film? Disappointing...my wife read all four books in January and now wants to see these BDs....

BD has been out for a year. Never really drops in price either.

I can attest to that. I've never seen the BR of "Twilight" on sale...and I'm after the Target one because they have an exclusive 2-disc SE.

Only problem is that the coupon is only valid with the combo pack. I asked a disney rep about both princess and old dogs coupons when i had on the phone on friday when i couldnt get my old dogs coupon to print from home.

also if its like old dogs then the bluray in the combo pack will also feature a few special features not included with the special features on the single disc.
old dogs combo pack advertises that it has 3 features exclusive to the combo package.

That's crazy....I can completely understand including a specially printed "bare bones/movie-only" DVD in a combo pack, but making two separate pressings for the Blu-ray Discs just to include a couple extra bonus features? Way to bogart the already overfilled and backed up BD production lines there, Disney....

i was shocked when i saw the running times for the 3 extra bonus features. so short.

Re: Target weekly ad 3/14-3/20

My teenage girls haven't been asking about the Twilight movie (they've both seen it in the theaters and read the books), so I suppose it will be a rental, although the Target exclusives sound appealing.

But looking at the ad scan, $40 for a Pokemon game? Aren't they still mainly running the original 15 year old game engines, and reusing most of the graphics from the first DS games that came out 3 years ago? They will sell over 10 million copies, raking in half a billion dollars for maybe $1m in development costs!

That's because they both include a pokewalker pedometer that interacts with the game (it's got to be worth $5-$10 bucks right??).
