I did in-store p/u for Hurt Locker SB too. As always I got there and she couldn't find my order. As always she had to go out front and try to find it on the floor. Luckily they had 1 left or I would have gone off up in that mug...

Went to my local store at lunch, figured they'd be out of the Steelbook. They were.
I was curious to see what it looked like, but like others have said... since they didn't have it, I decided to wait for a price drop. I've seen The Hurt Locker a couple times this year already, so I can wait. Plus... I guess there is a slight chance it wins a ton of Oscars and a beefier edition is released sometime down the road.

Every Best Buy within 100 miles of me, and maybe in the entire state of Michigan, is sold out of "The Hurt Locker" SteelBook. Is there anyone who bought it and would be willing to sell it for cost + shipping?

OK, my mistake. I have it on HD DVD, and just figured it was released on both hi-def formats at the same time, but that was back during the format war.

Haven't seen this mentioned which made it on Best Buy's site.

Bunch of Lionsgate titles in the mix on a 2 for $20 deal. Not that exciting as some of the titles have been cheaper previously at Best Buy or at Amazon, except The Monster Squad which is at it's cheapest price point if purchased with another title.
After using a $5 Rewards Zone coupon, got My Bloody Valentine and The Monster Squad for $15.

I pre-ordered Hurt Locker Steel book a few weeks ago, of course when I got there they brought me the SD version. By then they did not have any of the steel books left. All they said to me was "sorry for the mistake" and refunded me the money. Had they brought the standard blu ray it would have been one thing. but nope, just the regular DVD. Oh well, such is life I suppose.

Also, with "Sleeping Beauty" going back into the vault at the end of the month, I figured I'd better quit bullshitting and just buy the BD SteelBook for it. Was able to price-match Target's ad and get it for $19.99. Not bad.

The True Romance BD was in the section of BDs on sale this week 9.99-14.99 but was not listed in the ad. Just an FYI, as it is 9.99. My local store had 1 copy. I guess it also pays to be nice because the cashier applied the 10% premier silver coupon to this as well as RocknRolla which has been on sale for $14.99 as well. This is, of course, a big YMMV. Lately, nothing that has been on sale has worked with a coupon.

are you serious, you are considering driving 2 hours for a steelbook? It's a case! The special features are the same, the A/V is the same, etc.

Well, this sucks. I just returned--empty handed--from my nearest Best Buy. I'd hoped to find Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves at $9.99. It's $10.99 on Amazon, last I saw. If it still is, I might go that route. Otherwise, I suspect it'll go on sale again as we near the release of the forthcoming Robin Hood movie with Russel Crowe.
