HBO Blu Ray Sets $30 with Coupon At Costco

From 12/18-12/24 Coscto is selling the Blu Ray sets Band Of Brothers, John Adams, True Blood Season 1 and The Sopranos season 1 for $30. They're listed at $44.99 but $15 comes off automatically at the register. A great deal for those of us who remember when those sets were $100 each for DVD versions.

Band of Brothers is a must own for anyone who doesn't have it yet. This price is begging for you to own it. I may try and grab John Adams but not many Costcos around here.

I wonder if BoB is worth the upgrade if you already have the set on DVD.

Definitely worth the upgrade on picture and audio quality. If you have a receiver that decodes HD audio with surround sound speakers, you will be most pleased. Picture quality is excellent too.

My girlfriend's mom is the only person I know with a CostCo account, I think. I need to find a way to get my hands on "Band Of Brothers" for that price.

I won't be able to make it to Costco before the 24th, so I just ordered it from Best Buy plus the amount of gas I would burn driving from here to G.R. is more than the extra $ I spend at Best Buy.

Unless you want to drive 90 miles to Ontario there aren't any period. I grew up in Western New York and BJ's is the only wholesale retailer in the area.

I don't know if there are any Sam's Clubs there now, or by you in the Roc, but there's definitely no Costco.

Are you sure about that? I went to Costco to get BOB for $30 so I picked up a copy and asked the cashier to scan it if it was really $30 but it showed $45. What the hell?! I ended up buying at BB but now, I don't know what to do. Do the $15 rebate come off automatically it's scanned in the register? I'm confused!!!!

Yes, but it's not something that I've ever had the urge to watch a second time.

Yes I'm sure. It came off automatically. I bought John Adams and True Blood today. Now I'm thinking about upgrading BoB, but I still don't know....

But why didn't it work for me when the cashier scanned it?

And you could probably sell the DVD set for at least $25, if not more.

Same thing happened to me a couple of years ago. There is something with Costco's system, coupons do not show up if you just do a price check. You have to go thru the register system and it will take it off. If it doesnt, just tell them you dont want it.

I watch the entire series, all 10 hours, 2 or 3 times per year.

Houston Costco(s) seemed to have plenty of BoBs in-stock. Went by Galleria store and then Bunker Hill - they had 8+, 4+ copies respectively. Thought about it, but couldn't pull the trigger.

Oh, ok. Well, that sucks. I don't mind spending $8 more in BB anymore now, since returning it and re-buying it in Costco seems like a waste of gas.
