For those in Texas - HEB has select Blu Rays $4-$10

For those in Texas who have a HEB near them - I just noticed a kiosk with the following Blu Rays. All are marked as 2 for $12. I did scan one and it did come up as $6. So far they had these:

The Aviator
Michael Clayton
Blow
V For Vendetta
Constantine
The Perfect Storm
Ocean's 11
Scooby Doo
P.S., I Love You
Wyatt Earp
2001: A Space Odyssey

The way HEB is, I'm sure the selection will vary from store to store.

I'm guessing this is just at HEBplus stores? Our regular HEBs here in Austin don't generally stock anything but new releases as far as blu-rays go..

I'll have to check this out, HEB is headquartered in San Antonio so there is one literally on every block.

Rob, you are right. I live near the HEB Plus in Round Rock. But I did drop by another HEB (forgot the potatoes), and the regular HEB did have a few of these titles.

I'd replace my V for Vendetta and 2001 HD DVDs for $6 each.

Re: For those in Texas - HEB has select Blu Rays $6 each (2 for $12)

I went to 2 different HEBs.. and didn't find 1 blu ray.. boo
But they weren't HEB plus stores... so i guess ill try those later on.. Hopefully I'll find something.

Did your HEB have a big selection with lots of copies? Or their wasn't that many?

I did find at one store they had a huge bin filled with dvds. (2 for $10) But they were all crappy dvds... and in pretty crappy condition in my opinion... I know i saw multiple copies of zach braff's "The Last Kiss" in their.. I didn't even bother.

They had several copies of each of these titles. Damn, after seeing them at 2 stores, I thought they'd be putting them in more stores, but maybe not. So maybe it is the HEB Plus only that has them. Here's what they have at the Round Rock location. I may go check out some others this weekend.

Oh, and if anyone does go to the Round Rock location - go to the back where they have a huge entertainment area. The blu ray section is fairly large and they do have some decent prices on some other blu ray movies - and some really bad prices on others.

Thanks for posting the pic.. So can you buy one of the blu rays alone for $6? Or is has to be 2 for $12?
So far the only movie I'm interested in from that list is PS I love you. Hopefully if I find it, I'll be able to get it for $6 alone.

I'll have to check the HEB Plus out on FM 620 today... that seems to be the closest.

The Round Rock location requires me to cross I-35. Something I never venture to do.

I-35 on the east side north of Braker isn't so bad. Believe me, I used to live in the ghetto. I will NOT be going to the HEB on Ed Bluestein to look for these blu-rays. Fuck that place.

Heh. I wasn't talking about it being ghetto (which Round Rock is more yuppie than anywhere ever) so much as the godforsaken Los-Angeles-in-Texas I-35 traffic. Plus we live in the Arboretum... so the 620 location is also about 3 miles less to get to.

Hahaha...I actually work the company, HEB. BUT in a different chain of it...Central Market. I'll check out my old store back home to see if they have any Blus.

Re: For those in Texas - HEB has select Blu Rays $6 each (2 for $12)

I went to 2 HEB plus's today and saw the blu rays that were on sale on an endcap. The first one I went to didn't have PS i love you but thankfully the second one did. They only had 2 copies left. FYI - if you have trouble finding something in the sale section look for it where all the other blu rays are in alphabetical order. That's where I found my copy, it was hidden but it was there, thankfully. Awesome deal - it was still $6. It says on the receipt that this was a sale from black friday. Thanks again for posting!
