Best Buy ad scan 9/20 - 9/26

$12.99 for the original Godzilla? Hmm... I never did get the DVD... I know it's supposed to be a disappointing release but at that price I may bite.
Everything else is too much for me right now. $59.99 for S2 of Star Trek isn't too terrible, but I haven't watched all of S1 yet - in fact not much at all so I need to catch up first.
$27 for the Scooby Doo Prequel Blu-ray makes me laugh.

Oh god - I caught about 5 minutes of that Scooby Doo prequel on ABC family or wherever it was that it aired. It may have been the worst 5 minutes of film I have EVER seen. That dude's horrible "Shaggy" voice was grating and annoying after 5 seconds, I can only imagine having to listen to it for 90 minutes!

Damn, two weeks ago I purchased the Blur-Ray version of Mad Men season 2 from Amazon for $23.50 and Best Buy is selling the standard version for $40? What the hell is BB charging for the Blu version, $60!?!
Thank god for Amazon, free shipping and no tax. No need to step foot in Best Buy anymore.

I know the movie Gojira is an old movie that's in pretty bad shape so it will never look pristine, but that doesn't excuse the Blu-ray release looking less sharp than the DVD release.
That's a double-dip I won't be doing.

Now I'm even more pissed that the Gojira BD sucks since I'd be happy as a pig in shit to pick it up for $12.99.
Guess $25.99 is going to be the best price for O&R. Works for me.

Hopefully Amazon will match BB's price sometime early next week, as they often do.

I'm kinda bummed that "The Mentalist" isn't getting a Blu release.
While we're at it - it's also galling me that stores like BB are offering so many of their specials with the DVD versions instead of the Blu versions (comic with Battlestar Galactica 4.5 DVD, soundtrack CD with Torchwood COE DVD, etc). I thought they were supposed to be pushing Blu down our throats?...

For those of you who care, according to the Best Buy website, The Haunted World of El Superbeasto BD is $12.99. I'll definitely be picking it up as I recently watched the movie on PPV and loved it.

I think $59.99 is actually a pretty good deal. It's currently $72.99 on Amazon and $82.55 at DeepDiscount.
