I'm planning on picking up the new 120GB PS3 Slim as my Blu-Ray player.

The hardware won't be discounted anywhere - systems never are - but does anyone know of anyplace doing any bargains like free/discounted accessories or movies or games bundled with it? I need to know where to buy it and get the best deal.

I'm guessing Costco / Sam's will have some kind of package - they typically do. (I know there are other clubs that I'm not familiar with as well)

Dell is probably out of stock on the Slim. They have the 160. They also have the 360 Elite for $255 after coupon.

i read somewhere that the Blu-ray player on the ps3 slim had slower loads ...

i think if you buy the PS3 fattie you might get a better deal ... for $300 at Target (im not sure if other retailers have this bundle) you can get moto storm and resistance with the PS3 Fattie

Yeah, I was just at Target yesterday and picked up Resistance for $20 and LOTR: Conquest for $14, in anticipation of buying my system this week

If you are signed up for cash back at Bing.com, and search "Newegg", you'll see a link to click for 10% cash back on purchases from Newegg. Newegg has the new PS3 for $299 with free shipping, so it is effectively $270 once you get the cash back in 60 days. I think they only charge tax in NJ and CA. I did this with Newegg, and got the cash back notice almost immediately (I get things shipped from Newegg to my office in NY).

I'm new to the Bing cash back. How does it work? Do they send you a rebate check or refund directly to your card?

I think it is paypal, bank account, etc. It does not get refunded to your card (the credit card company has nothing to do with Bing).

Of course, they had never heard of the promotion, and then I even brought the printout with me, and they went and looked up the web address themselves and said it came up 404 error. Eventually they gave it to me though. I have no idea why they couldn't see that page.


...now I just have to learn everything there is about Blu and PS3!!
