Does Walmart price match their own website?

Also, what's the movie money on The Departed that it mentions online with the 2 for 15 sale. I picked up Book of Eli for $10 in store (haven't opened it yet). To get another Blu for only $5 would be nice, and if Departed comes with movie money, even better.

I picked up Bad Santa and Gone Baby Gone for $6 each tonight. Bad Santa was worth the upgrade for the director's cut alone since the unrated DVD had just the unrated cut. Lauren Graham in HD? Yes please.

If it is in stock, you can order it online for instore pickup.

There's a non-digibook version?!? Excellent! I thought I was going to have to wait a while before picking this one up. Thanks!

Do you like that Vudu that Walmart do so well?

Their ad this week lists 10-15 Blu-Rays for $10 that have a $5 Vudu credit on them. Their web site also has the promotion and has the titles in the ad plus more. I went to the store and couldn't find any of the Blu-Rays with Vudu and the regular Sherlock Holmes they had rang up for $20.

These have been available for a while at Wal-Mart, I think I bought some of them a month or so ago. They have always been on an endcap near the other movies, and while most had $5 Vudu credit at least one I bought was only a choice of 5-7 specific titles.

I liked Vudu BEFORE Wal-Mart bought it, because they had porn then!

re: Walmart / walmart.com discounts and deals on Blu-ray

Had this two pack of the 2 disc Transformers blu-rays movies at my local Wal-Mart for 25 dollars last night, which is slightly above my usual upgrade threshold title price ($10), but close enough that I went ahead and purchased it...

Here's the online link so you can see the description, but the online price is much higher than instore.

Picked up The Big Country BD for $10. Apparently this is a Wal-Mart exclusive for now. I don't frequent Wal-Mart often so I don't know how long this has been available, but I didn't see any mention of it in the last few pages of this thread.

They apparently are getting lots of limited time exclusive BDs, separate thread on it here somewhere.

I've had no problem price-matching Wal-Mart in-store with their website. On both Toy Story 3, and Tangled, I found their web site price to be cheaper at the time and they matched it without a problem, then applied the DMR coupon to boot. Picked up two copies of TS3 for $12 ea. for Christmas that way.

That is definitely YMMV as I have never been able to get the two stores I frequent to price match the website.

re: Walmart / walmart.com discounts and deals on Blu-ray

I just noticed a shitload of new $5 Mill Creek titles at walmart.com. Some may be limited time exclusives, since they show as In Stock at $5.98 regular price with a June 13 release date, however amazon has them listed as August 23 pre-orders at $9.98 list. Some of them have already been released though, and are $4.99 at Amazon: Betsy's Wedding, Big Business, Consenting Adults, Gross Anatomy, The Gun in Betty Lou's Handbag, An Innocent Man, The Marrying Man, Money For Nothing, My Father the Hero, Straight Talk, and V.I. Warshawski.

The complete list of titles is below. Here is a link to WM BD's sorted from low to high:
http://www.walmart.com/browse/Blu-ra...=true&depts=Mo
Scenes From a Mall
Consenting Adults
Money For Nothing
Baby - Secret of the Lost Legend
Play it to the bone
An Innocent Man
The Tie That Binds
Miami Rhapsody
Ernest Goes to Camp
Ernest Scared Stupid
Ernest Goes to Jail
Holy Matrimony
My Father The Hero
VI Warshawski
Last Dance
The War at Home
The Marrying Man
Betsy's Wedding
The Gun in Betty Lou's Handbag
Betsy's Wedding
plus the same 5 we've seen at Target for a while:
Big Business
Straight Talk
Another Stakeout
Gross Anatomy
America's National Treasure

When I saw "War at Home" I was thinking Michael Rappaport canceled tv show. I was trying to figure out why it got a blu ray release after Season ONe was mercilessly dumped at Big Lots $3. Btw, this has to be a sign of the apocalypse when Ernest and Blu are found in the same sentence.

Many of the titles Amazon lists as 8/23 pre-orders, but are in-stock at WM.com. I assume that all of the titles in my list can probably be found in-store on that display. The poster you quoted said there were more titles that he couldn't remember... Ernest Scared Stupid appears to have been missing from my list, so I have now added it...

Same for me. My 2 nearest stores always turned me down on PM'ing the website, and I haven't tried it for a couple years. Mine are good about PM'ing anything they have (which is the biggest caveat since my Walmarts have a very sucky inventory of BDs and DVDs) if you have the genuine ad. Last time I tried to use an online printout of an ad (as many stores have stopped including their ads in my newspaper... out of cheapness I assume) they said it had to be a genuine ad, and Target said the same thing. So if I have to drive to the actual store to get their ad, then I'll just buy it there rather than bother with the PM.

I suppose that's a brilliant strategy for stores to stop PM'ing while still claiming they do. If they all collectively decide to stop putting their "circulars" in the newspaper, then not only can I cancel my newspaper subscription, but nobody will have genuine ads to do a PM without going to the other store first. Ooops... guess I went off topic a bit. As Sir Lancelot said: "Sorry. I just get a bit carried away".
