Not an outstanding deal, but my Costco had Game of Thrones Season 1 BD/DVD for $41.99.

With Digital Copy actually. Sucks they didn't include that in the original release.

Says Hitchcock on the receipt.

Also saw some Criterion films for $19.99 including 1934 Man Who Knew Too Much,

Costco's skus reflect the studio I think.

Brookhaven has one less copy as of ~ 9:30 this morning, but there were at least seven left.

re: Costco discounts and deals on Blu-ray

I picked up Laura and A Streetcar Named Desire at the Spartanburg, SC location this past week. I didn't check to see if there were anymore copies of Laura, but I did notice 4 or 5 copies of Streetcar.

As others have noted, Laura was in with the Hitchcock films. My best score of 2013 so far. Laura on Blu-ray (with two versions of the movie!!), get outta here. Btw, PQ is top notch.

Wondering about the mentioned Criterion blu-rays sighting, what else was in that batch, and if others have see it. I'm in the midwest... My Costco has only stocked a Criterion batch once, last year. I'm always hoping against hope that they will again.

I saw the $9.99 Hitchcock's at the Portland (Clackamas) Costco. I also saw The Fighter (Wahlberg/Bale) for $12.99.

The Who's Quadrophenia was another Criterion at Costco Orlando.

Has anyone noticed if Planet Earth is still $12.99? I'm hugely pregnant and wanting to avoid a trip to Costco, but I've really had a hankering to watch this lately and would be willing to make a trip there for half the price of the set anywhere online.

Go for it. Their mattresses are comfortable if needed, plus you could just get some ice chips from the snack bar and some mops or sponges for clean-up. Not sure if they have Pitocin at the pharmacy, though.

No, I haven't seen it lately. Costco tends to rotate their media stock now, pretty frequently. It will likely show up again in the future at that price.

Was that at the South County store? I usually go to the Manchester location, but their Blu-ray section is inferior, I think.

re: Costco discounts and deals on Blu-ray

Saw a bunch of new things tonight, but didn't have the means to note all of them. What I recall:

* Lord of the Rings EEs individual titles (5-discs; 2 BDs, 3 DVDs) - $19.99
* Easter-themed titles like Passion of the Christ (aka My Big Fat Roman Crucifixion), The Robe, Last Temptation of Christ - $9.99
* Almost Famous Bootleg Edition - $8.99
* Several other comedies like Old School and Road Trip for $7.99 IIRC.

kefrank - Yes, the South County Costco is where I shop. They had the $19.99 Criterion assortment for a brief spell last year.

"Easter-themed titles like Passion of the Christ (aka My Big Fat Roman Crucifixion), The Robe, Last Temptation of Christ - $9.99"

The first two are Fox releases, but not LAST TEMPTATION. Are you sure that's what you saw for $9.99?? As another posted pointed out, that's a Criterion release. And I'll point out that even all these later, it seems "unsafe" by Costco's standards. (Although I'm hoping that it is indeed really there!)

Thanks. I'll probably be hitting the Manchester location this weekend, so I'll report back what they have.
