Incorrect, at Costco at least.

It's 90 days on computers and televisions only. Lifetime on everything else.

That's how I know it. I returned a Panasonic Blu-ray player almost a year after I bought it when I never received my rebate for it.

Unfortunately my Costco had them both for $18.99 each....WTF? You'd think every store would have the same pricing! This isn't like Walmart where you know different stores sell things at different prices....

There are a half dozen costcos within 20 mins of each other here and none of them seem to have the same inventory either. One will have one set of blu's while another has a different set of blu's. I have seen slight price variations from city to city. Some of the titles that were like $9.99 were $9.59 for some odd reason at a different costco.

re: Costco discounts and deals on Blu-ray

I decided to go to Costco on my lunch break and check out the Blu-ray selection. New this week:

The Batman films for 12.99 ea.
Tombstone 18.99
Armageddon 18.99

I'm sure there were others but that's what stood out.

The best deal was probably this War Hero Collection for 24.99. It includes BDs of Patton, Rescue Dawn, and Behind Enemy Lines. That's one true classic, one excellent movie from a legendary director, and one decent Hollywood action flick for less than $9 each with tax.

Do the Batman films for $12.99 include the Christian Bale films or only the first 4.

Mine had them. But I passed because I bought The Dark Knight BD at FYE for $6 and Batman Begins is currently $11.49 at Amazon. I was hoping it would drop to $9.99 but it doesn't look like it's going to so I may get it now.

Oh I'll gladly snag Batman Returns for $12.99. And that is the last Batman film I'll buy from that first series.

They had the BD mask edition for 9.99. With my 10% Backstage Pass discount and a $3 coupon I paid $6 plus tax. I was in today and they still have this for $9.99 but this time it's "with any purchase".

More $7.99 titles
=========================
The Ninth Gate
Righteous Kill
Traitor
Young Guns
To Kill a King
Lord of War
There was one more but I can't recall (maybe Crash or Hard Rain)
Beowulf & Grendel is the one I couldn't remember.
Looks like some of the Wal-Mart ones for $8

Still had copies of the following $7.99 titles from post #159

Total Recall
Air America
CutThroat Island
Dirty Dancing
Red Heat
Reservoir Dogs

Picked up Tombstone and Armageddon on blu for 27.98 total, which beats the Amazon $10 off deal by $3. Seeing that both blu-ray releases have virtually no extras, I guess I'll hold onto the Vista Series release of Tombstone and the Criterion release of Armageddon for now.

Sorry if I missed it but is there a discount if you buy both Armageddon and Tombstone at the same time?

They're $18.99 each, but if you buy both, then you get $10 off ($27.98 total with no sales tax in Oregon.)

Saw Minority Report and Collateral for $19.99 each. Escape From L.A. was available for the same price (I think.)

Incorrect. As their Returns page states: "We guarantee your satisfaction on every product we sell with a full refund. The following must be returned within 90 days of purchase for a refund: televisions, projectors, computers, cameras, camcorders, iPOD / MP3 players and cellular phones."

What about stuff that was purchased years ago before they changed the return policy? Did they grandfather the old policy (lifetime returns on everything) for purchases before the policy switch? The reason I ask is I found a still readable old Costco receipt for an old deceased laserdisc player bought in the late 90's. I can't imagine they'd give me a refund on that (even though I have the box and everything), especially since I'm no longer a member (though seriously I'd join just to return it if I could since it was really expensive).

Really? You're calling me out on that? Seriously?

In the context here I was correct, the items being discussed are fully returnable. I was paraphrasing/listing the two main items that are part of the 90 day list.

Laser disc players have always been lifetime, DVD and blu-ray players still are lifetime.

Wow! Too bad I already have Sin City.

Its weird what older titles Costco gets in from time to time for cheap.

I'll be on the lookout for Sin City. That's one title I wouldn't mind upgrading to BD.

They did grandfather the old policy for purchases made before the switch. A woman that works with my sister just returned a TV that she bought in 2006 and Costco gave her a refund with no questions asked.
