Geoff, is there any way to search through the DVD reviews (and other sections of the site) via things like "outtakes" or "commentary," etc?

Does this make sense? Like, what I'm looking for is a way to search out DVD's with certain extra features that have been written up (either in reviews or ???) on DVD TALK.

Anyone else think this might be a cool thing or maybe it's just me?

I agree. It'd be excellent to be able to search for key words WITHIN the reviews, in addition to their titles.

<b>noelgross</b>, I thought the keyword option on the left did check the body of the article rather than [just] the title. The only possible limitation I can think of is that it might only check the first 200 words or so.

Thus anyone wanting to limit the search to a particular movie/topic would select the relevant forum in the dropdown menu and enter the film's name (or subject, or actor, or the phrase "extra feature") in said keyword field.

You would still probably get plenty of semi-related hits, though. To narrow it down further there would need to be some kind of Boolean operation rather than the limited options currently offered by the board's software.

Perhaps what is needed is an "advanced" search option like on <A HREF="http://www.google.com/advanced_search">Google</a>. Until such a time, those in search of info might just have to post a "Review Request" or even use Google itself for checking <A HREF="http://directory.google.com/Top/Arts/Movies/Reviews/">other sites....</a>

NB: If I've managed to miss the point of <b>BoatDrinks</b>' post, I apologise and add <A HREF="http://www.dvdreview.com/html/hidden_features.shtml">this link</a>!
