My wife and I like the song on the Montero Sport Commercial and would like to find it if it is a song availalble by some group. It has a sound like Marc Bolan/T. Rex to me and at the end it sounds like the lyrics are "I'm your boy, your twentieth century toy" or something like that. (I know this isn't about a TV show but it's on TV and I didn't know anywhere else to post it.) Thanks for any help in advance.

found it

I did a search on hotbot for those lyrics and came back with the following page:

http://redrival.com/carnage/placebo-nonalbum.html

The song is called "20th century boy" and you can find the lyrics near the bottom (it's the 2nd to last song on the page)

Thanks Mr.Max. That seems like the right song. It's not clear to me from the link who performs it. Is it Placebo??? I see it says non-album tracks so I guess it's not available.

People have discussed this recently in alt.tv.commercials and are of the opinion that it's the 1973 T.Rex version and not the 1999 David Bowie-Placebo version.
