Do you ever watch the IFC or Sundance channels?

Sometimes they'll have a good movie on, but do they really need to show Clerks and The Player 12 times a week? Now that TCM is part of standard cable, I've been keeping my eye on that channel, they play great flicks.

Just like any channel, they show some crap--but when they show good things it's really nice, because you know with certainty that NO other channel out there would show the movies that they do. Some really underappreciated and obscure stuff is on there alongside the "Blockbuster" independents, but you have to search the schedule.

IFC has that All Access Thursday movie with the director's commentary. I think it's the final Thursday of the month. They also have DV theater with feature length videos.

And its cable, so if you miss it you know you will see it again. I think IFC even showed Rosie Perez & Javier Bardem in "Dance with the Devil," which I already have on DVD but the world needs to see it.
Turner is great but they don't repeat a lot of the obscure stuff too much, and have been showing too many Oscar winning movies lately instead of 30's pre-code stuff. And I've been waiting three years for rerun of "Bop Girl Goes Calypso."
