The folks who script the wrestling shows are more than likely not WGA writers. But it would make no difference if they were because Vince's companies are not Guild signatories.
As for the wrestlers themselves, most of them are SAG. So, if SAG strikes then the wrestlers would have to decide between their Guild and Vince, I guess.

well, I'd imagine a good number of the wrestlers are SAG, considering a lot of them act here and there, or at least try to. No doubt The Rock is a full fledged SAG member.

Unions and wrestling don't mix. Mostly because Vince won't let them. Jesse Ventura was pretty much run out of the business for advocating one.
JoeC...Roddy Piper is a big advocate of them, too...

Anytime you see a wrestler doing a commercial, or a guest appearance on a show, or a movie, they can't do those without SAG members. Who knows, the whole WWF and other syndicated shows may be signatory to the guild?
I know Vince is a card-carrying member of AFTRA, despite what he may 'say' about unions.

Most of the WWF workers that hadn't signed a SAG contract had to sign one right before Smackdown premiered on UPN a couple years ago. Apparently you don't have to have one if you are on a cable channel but you do for network TV. That doesn't make a whole lotta sense to me but that's the way they work it.
So I would say yes wrestling would be affected by the upcoming strike.

Mr. Roddy Piper had said that his dream before he retired forever would be to create pro wrestling's first union. Still hasnn't happened. This strike shouldn't affect the WWF much.
