George A. Romero's CREEPSHOW
This is a dvd worth having.
I am a big George A. Romero fan, and as far as anthology
films are concerned, CREEPSHOW is top-rate.
The transfer is presented in a 1.85:1, widescreen-anamorphic transfer, with a dolby-digital 2.0 soundtrack. The transfer is exceptionally clean, with rich colors, excellent shadow detail and just a few very minor print scratches.
The audio is as good as it's going to get, as Warner did not feel the need to remaster the sountrack in 5.1.
For a 2.0 Dolby-Surround track, CREEPSHOW delivers all the necessary thrills and chills with a beautifully conceived electronic score by composer John Harrison. And don't forget, this a $20 list priced dvd...that's an awful lot of bang for the buck!
Definitely run out and purchase this dvd...you won't be disappointed.
