That's correct, 300,000 members sunscribe to them. I just read an article in a video trade mag. and they stated that Netflix will have over 500,000 members by the end of the year and they are going to launch a national TV ad compaign to bump that even higher. They actually say they expect to have over 10,000,000 by 2004. Talk about bad customer service now, wait until that happens!

They also said that Netflix has over 2.5 million discs now and that 75-80% of that 2.5 million are currently in circulation. Now you guys know why all your que's always has out of stock titles. The article also stated that they ship and receive 70,000 discs a day! Damn that's a lot of mail! That's must be the reason for those long turn-around times.

Netflix stated they are going to try to go public, again, when they start turning a profit (estimated the 4th quarter of this year).

Just wanted to let you guys know this info.

In my last month with netflick.com I was never more frustrated with an online vendor than I was them. If they intend to grow as they state good luck to them for bad word of mouth will kill their existing base as well as their bad business policies.

I figured they had a lot of subscribers. Just look at the number of ratings for a title. Even some the of more obscure titles have thousands of ratings.

And they're all renting the movies on your list.

I think they've been a little better lately. They even sent out "The Contender" a little over a week early last weekend.

I have noticed things getting better too. Last month, it was taking almost 2 weeks for turnaround, and this month it has been more like a week between me mailing in and then receiving the next DVD. Hopefully this trend continues. . .

I don't know. Renting DVDs over the internet seemed a little "difficult" to me...
