I liked the one with Alec Baldwin, Kim Basinger, and Ron Howard... especially seeing Ron and Alex get creamed by the RV.

By far the funniest celebrity cameo ever on the Simpsons was James Woods. Too funny.

James Woods
or
John Waters

It seems if your initials are JW, you're gonna have a good cameo on the Simpsons!

Phil Hartman as Lionel Hutz... of course, he was a recurring character so that probably doesn't count as a cameo.

I liked Paul and Linda McCartney in the episode Lisa declares her vegetarianism. Can't beat a flying pig!
Or a ripping lentil soup recipe.

James Woods' guest appearance was simply hilarious!

Peter Frampton
"Hey you kids, get out of my cooler!"

James Woods was great though, especially cleaning the oven

The best ones are the rock band cameos:

Spinal Tap
Smashing Pumpkins
Cypruss Hill
Aerosmith

Also, the baseball ringers in the Softball episode.

The Softball episode is great: "Mattingly, shave those sideburns!"

Also sideshow Luke Perry: "aaaah, my beautiful face!"
